Yes, there's a lot of bemoaning going on.

Perhaps ( just perhaps) some of us think that regaining national sovereignty, and being out of the EU is worth it. Remember that this is in the short term, and we have to look at the long term for the UK. All tosh about 'hard hearts' is sentiment run riot, and really, let's face it , an excuse to insult anyone who voted to Leave the EU.

Wow!fairly new to Gransnet, wasn't expecting such nastiness re other people's opinions &thoughts , not very good examples being set by some grannies!!!

We should all be knitting nanas ( like the ones in the cereal ad ) Strong topics bring strong feelings, but there are plenty of lighter threads to look at.I recommend all the games.

Except that I can't knit roses or I would be doing something useful instead of wasting all my time on this bloomin' forum

I made a Dr Who scarf for DSIL ( it almost went down to his feet, he wears it around the house when feeling cold.)

And it is abundantly clear that some of us don't think it's worth it. And telling people who haven't voted for it, and who are already losing badly because of it, that they are moaning, that no-one has any sympathy for them, that it'll be alright in some unquantifiably distant future, that they should work to make it a success, that they should just get on with it, etc. etc.is really just adding insult to injury.

I will stick with the strong worded debates rosesarered &toughen up a bit??especially as mentioned I can't knit & I it hate it cos I wish I could !
