Paul Nuttell is according to the poles is 10% ahead in the Stoke bi-election, so I thought I would look at some of his beliefs. I was astounded at how similar they are to Trumps.
1. Privatisation of the NHS - this has been taken from his website because he needs the votes. Privatisation of the NHS doesn't attract votes.
2. Wants a referendum to vote on restricting woman's rights. He is anti-abortion, and believes that there should be a ban on adverts for family planning and abortion.
3. Burka ban. In all public buildings.
4. Against banning discrimination against gays.
5. So he believes in placing restrictions on Muslim belief/culture, but is against any restriction to Christian beliefs.
6. Thinks sexist comment are OK, and against placing restrictions on these type of comments.
No wonder he was so thrilled when Trump won the election.
UKIP has a caring side, Farage has shacked up with a rather glam woman in a very expensive pad. He has said they are not having an affair, he is giving her support.
Didn't he stand down as leader to spend more time with his family
Yup in the Welsh Assembly, blessed with several UKIP AMs, we have Mr Cash for Questions, foisted on UKIP Wales by Farage. And Nathan Two Jobs Gill (nominally leader of UKIP in Wales) who has fallen out with CFQs to the extent that he is nominally an independent in the Assembly and not a part of the UKIP group. However he is not there much because Two Jobs Gill is an MEP as well, and he wants to hang onto the higher salary that that brings. While it lasts.
Rigby I find it difficult to see how you can complain about
"goadyfuckery and whataboutery in yet another vile thread"
particularly immediately after yourself posting this sarcastic and provocactive bit of speculation with its goading tag!
My take on it was that PN wanted a constituency address because with that on the ballot paper he would present himself as a local who really cared enough about them to live amongst them - aahh bless!
Jess, Hamilton is showing his caring side, he was in the Welsh newspapers urging us to eat Welsh breakfasts, he recommends bacon, sausages, eggs, bread, cereals and his favourite - lava bread , he wants to reduce heart disease and obesity
Mair <sighs, takes deep breath, counts to ten, adopts slightly weary pained tone> This thread is entitled UK Leader. I posted about the UK leader. My post contributed to the discussion about why he had, against electoral law, given an address at which he was not at that time living. This is a fact and not a malicious libel. I gave my opinion as to what he had done that. I'm sorry you don't understand the terms goadyfuckery and whataboutery especially as you are a past master of the art.
Farage's 'friend' is French, his wife is German. I wonder about his real reasons for wanting to leave the EU could they possibly be personal? If he can accommodate one homeless French person couldn't he also offer a place to some refugees?
I have a notice in my porch telling people not to knock if they are trying to sell me something. They always say they didn't see it until I reach the door. They will even ring the bell, which is right next to the sign, then knock on the window if they see me at the computer. Some people just never get the message, particularly UKIP.
@Mair your 100% commitment to the belief that everything you do not subscribe to must be photoshopped/forged/misrembered is staggering. It reminds me so much of a certain US president commenting on the millions (or absence thereof) watching his inauguration. It would be funny if it weren't so predictable sad.
'Ukip is currently under investigation over £400,000 in donations from the Institute for the Direct Democracy in Europe and a political alliance linked to it ahead of the Brexit vote and 2015 election, when Mr Farage was still the party’s leader.
The two associated European groups had received £1m a year from the EU, but has now been ordered to pay some of it back.'
The woman seen putting the bin out at Farage's Chelsea gaff runs the Institute for Direct Democracy in Europe. That's probably worse than having an affair with him. They are being investigated for wrong-doing, so share a flat?
Today I am officially pissed off. Wanted to go to the open Mosque afternoon and have tea but I have a stinking cold so thought I'd better keep it to myself rather than sneezing all over people.
