Paul Nuttell is according to the poles is 10% ahead in the Stoke bi-election, so I thought I would look at some of his beliefs. I was astounded at how similar they are to Trumps.

1. Privatisation of the NHS - this has been taken from his website because he needs the votes. Privatisation of the NHS doesn't attract votes.

2. Wants a referendum to vote on restricting woman's rights. He is anti-abortion, and believes that there should be a ban on adverts for family planning and abortion.

3. Burka ban. In all public buildings.

4. Against banning discrimination against gays.

5. So he believes in placing restrictions on Muslim belief/culture, but is against any restriction to Christian beliefs.

6. Thinks sexist comment are OK, and against placing restrictions on these type of comments.

No wonder he was so thrilled when Trump won the election.

You and others MawBroon.
I must be posting brilliantly!

MawBroon Thu 16-Feb-17 12:20:19

"You might think that, I couldn't possibly comment"

mcem Thu 16-Feb-17 12:45:25

Now, now maw - there's a first time for everything!!
'Using pedantics' is a very interesting concept.

Anniebach Thu 16-Feb-17 13:50:01

Ladbrooks have X first, Nutthall second , X third in X

MawBroon Thu 16-Feb-17 13:51:33

Perhaps Ankers meant semantics but there again, I doubt it.

Jalima Thu 16-Feb-17 14:48:42

He sounds like Trump grin.

Don't laugh whitewave, look what happened across the pond shock

MawBroon Thu 16-Feb-17 15:21:13

Bet not a lot of you knew this

"UKIP leader Paul Nuttall has opened up about his struggle with the eye he lost at the Battle of Hastings.
Nuttall was leading the army that was defending England from a Norman-French invasion when he struck in the eye with an arrow."
For the benefit of the gullible....gringrin

Ana Thu 16-Feb-17 15:24:51

'his struggle with the eye he lost' makes it sound as though he and it were having some sort of battle of their own, MawBroon! grin

I presume it escaped in the melée...

MawBroon Thu 16-Feb-17 15:28:22

gringrin

Jalima Thu 16-Feb-17 15:31:02

I thought I recognised him from the Bayeux Tapestry; I remember thinking at the time that his clothes looked a bit out of place

He seems to be saying 'My horse, my horse, my Kingdom for a horse' .....
Although that was a bit later on, I do realise wink but what's the point of spoiling a good story for the sake of 419 years?

MawBroon Thu 16-Feb-17 16:40:37

Ha ha Ana that should have read " without the eye" etc etc, but it conjures up an amusing image!
Anyway in case Paul Nuttall is feeling let down by the apparent lack of interest in him on GN, people preferring to write about the the Stoke (where's that? Me neither) by election, here is another recollection of his glorious CV

Anniebach Thu 16-Feb-17 17:00:03

But he is hoping to win the Stoke by election confused

durhamjen Thu 16-Feb-17 18:16:40

What about the fact that he was at the last supper, Mawbroon, the thirteenth disciple?
Can you find that one?

Anniebach Thu 16-Feb-17 18:30:34

Has he been harassed by a reporter asking a question?

durhamjen Thu 16-Feb-17 18:53:26

Nuttall has just missed another hustings in Stoke. That's two weeks in a row.

Carswell even put a photo on to show that Lisa Duffy was working in Stoke for the UK party.

Nuttall had a radio hustings debate tonight, where he claimed he was good for Stoke as he had put it on the map!
Not quite sure they want to be in the limelight for what he's done.

durhamjen Thu 16-Feb-17 22:52:04

"Nuttall went on to claim in the interview that he believed the furore surrounding the false claim that he had lost close friends at Hillsborough had been good for Stoke-on-Trent. “I have been great for this election, I have been great for this town,” he said. “You know why? Because the focus of the country is on Stoke-on-Trent, it is on the political map. People are now looking at this election in a way they wouldn’t have if I wasn’t involved.” "

From the Guardian.

Anniebach Fri 17-Feb-17 22:09:26

And remove vat from heating

Anniebach Fri 17-Feb-17 22:12:27

Jen, your post on fish and chips was sooooo Daily Mail, you chose fish and chips over the NHS and removal of vat from domestic fuel , your better than that
