Apologies if there is a new Trump thread, but the only one I could find had hit the magic 1000 posts mark.
Just seen this on Facebook. Makes excellent sense.

Was she on QT a few weeks ago? I thought she was a Trump defender but not long ago she was saying this:
www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-36963984

Then later on this:

confused

I thought that stopping people coming into the US had been put on hold until Trump comes up with a new wheeze next week. Apparently not.

Ah those were the days when Bartlett was in the West Wing. Sigh. Not to mention CJ (love emoticon - why haven't we got one?)
Last summer, in the aftermath of June 23rd, I comfort-binged House of Cards, series one and two. Not sure if I will ever be able to face series 2.
Currently binging on The Good Wife, latest series. A bit more light and shade in this series. Great new female character, Lucca. And lots of wonderful clothes of course.

Should there be such a group as Republicans Overseas? I thought they had all been recalled to the motherland.

Rinouchka Sat 18-Feb-17 13:32:59

No, sadly, there are quite a few of them. And they are here!

durhamjen Sat 18-Feb-17 15:33:23

Outnumbered by Democrats Overseas, I hope. I like them over here.

Rinouchka Sat 18-Feb-17 16:13:24

DAUK( Democrats Abroad UK) widespread through England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland.

Rinouchka Sat 18-Feb-17 16:14:23

And DAI( Republican of Ireland branch) very big and active.

Ana Sat 18-Feb-17 16:28:27

Can't see any listed for Wales.

Jalima Sat 18-Feb-17 17:30:50

They do their own thing in Wales.

Ana Sat 18-Feb-17 17:33:50

Who do? US Democrats? {confused]

Ana Sat 18-Feb-17 17:34:09

confused

So....according to Trump, there was a terrorist attack in Sweden the night before last! Sweden says not, but of course they wouldn't know. In the words of the man himself #fakenews!

I watched the Florida rally. Chanting from the crowd sounded worryingly like the Hitler rallies. Please God Trump doesn't head in that direction!

MawBroon Sun 19-Feb-17 10:31:44

Worrying prospect indeed judthepud
I would have thought the memory of 1930's Germany would at least resonate with the descendants of refugees from Hitler's Europe, but I suppose they are a very different demographic from the bulk of Trump's supporters.

Now who's the purveyor of 'Fake News'?

Anniebach Sun 19-Feb-17 11:15:02

I am sick of that man on tv every day . Every night I listen to the papers review, last night there was that man at some rally, and his wife led with the Lords Prayer which she had to read

Watching that rally it was almost like mass hysteria, it made me think of those people who brainwashed whole crowds to commit suicide/murder through history. Its very very scary.

AlieOxon Sun 19-Feb-17 11:25:34

....a fake president?

Anniebach Sun 19-Feb-17 11:55:17

It realy was frightening Tanith , so many lies and so much hate , perhaps there is such a thing as reincarnation

I wish he was a fake president, Alie. Then the world could get rid of him easily.
