Apologies if there is a new Trump thread, but the only one I could find had hit the magic 1000 posts mark.
Just seen this on Facebook. Makes excellent sense.

I feel in one sense we shouldn't be able to listen to this, but I'm completely riveted. He's a very strong character. So far not showing signs of strain and it's over 2 hours of intense questioning now.

ww, perhaps Trump was unaware of this before he was elected. wink I think he thought he could say was he wanted to get elected and then do what he wanted.

I admire strong people like Comey and Snowden.

Ginny it is riveting!

His next job is staring in a spy series like Homeland.

Strong character.

At the end of the first part, BBC switched to where Trump was addressing party faithful thinking he may comment on the hearing, but he didn't. He did say, 'I wouldn't call myself a politician although I must be, I'm the President.'

Comey stated that Trump was lying. There were so many questions which required him to be very sharp not to trip up, but I'm a great believer in the saying tell the truth and shame the devil. Many senators were very effusive in their praise for Comey personally and for his work for the USA. Clearly there is a lot hanging on this.

I felt as though I was seated in the room and hanging onto their every word. Compelling viewing.

What I found interesting was Trump did not tweet once throughout. His advisers must be grey by now.

Good news for climate change.
The public can help to do something about it.

www.sumofus.org are asking people to sign up to ask ceos of large companies to step down from trump's advisory board.
Some have. We need more pressure.

durhamjen Sun 11-Jun-17 13:47:36

One good thing has come out of the election. Trump has told May he doesn't want to visit the UK until the British public supports him coming!

Luckylegs9 Sun 11-Jun-17 13:49:26

Just a matter of time before he is impeached, just got to wait it out, he us digging himself in deeper by the day.

whitewave Sun 11-Jun-17 13:52:28

Oh well that's Trump never coming here then - phew!

Tegan2 Sun 11-Jun-17 14:05:07

Well, that'll save a bit of money. For what this election has cost we could have done something about all those people starving in Ethiopia sad.

Tegan2 Sun 11-Jun-17 14:05:41

Trump obviously saw The Last Leg, then grin....

durhamjen Sun 11-Jun-17 15:39:28

Did you see the one where they were taking money out because there was something nice to say about trump?
Only once, I think, and I can't for the life of me remember what was said that was good.

durhamjen Mon 12-Jun-17 22:16:46

Trump's tweets being used in court against him.
Careful what you tweet.

There is some confusion about the proposed visit of Trump:

White House says Trump WON’T delay state visit to the UK after all
metro.co.uk/2017/06/11/white-house-says-trump-wont-delay-state-visit-to-the-uk-after-all-6701842/

However, it is known for 'weird news'

Take your pick.

durhamjen Mon 12-Jun-17 23:16:15

Can't decide whether I want him to come or not since I saw the Last Leg.

Not bothered really, as long as he doesn't get his travel ban through. It's been turned down again.
If he bans muslims from travelling to the US, we should ban him from coming here.

Jalima1108 Mon 12-Jun-17 23:17:53

We could just ignore him (empty streets)

whitewave Thu 15-Jun-17 09:01:50

Trump now officially under criminal investigation

AlieOxon Sun 18-Jun-17 11:04:28

A bit of lighter relief, but serious underneath:

whitewave Tue 27-Jun-17 07:14:24

Spicer announced that US is preparing to go to war in Syria if another chemical attack is carried out.

That is "blow the hell out of them"

Hope Russia is OK with that

Jalima1108 Tue 27-Jun-17 20:00:59

not another bloody 'shock and awe'

Please no.

durhamjen Sat 01-Jul-17 00:22:13

They really should take trump's twitter account away from him.

Trying to kill off a few million by taking away their healthcare. It was turned down in January, his own party telling him it was impossible.

mimiro Sat 01-Jul-17 00:32:18

durhamjen Sat 01-Jul-17 09:59:00

I think we need to get trump onside about climate change.

theconversation.com/five-mass-extinctions-and-what-we-can-learn-from-them-about-the-planet-today-79971

We appear to be in the middle of a mass extinction as in the time of dinosaurs, but this time it's caused by homo sapiens.

durhamjen Sun 02-Jul-17 12:04:12

Get ready.

More on Trump's planned visit here. Seems he will be going to London.
