Peripatetic music teachers, Annie. Our County has a Music Service. They employ peripatetic music teachers and loan instruments. I don't think lessons have to be paid for but I will check. They were certainly free when my children were at school, but that was 30 years ago.

annie You don't appear to understand how music lessons in schools are provided - or, at least, were provided until local authorities were abolished.

Can you explain to me how SME's are expected to pay more tax, more vat, £10 an hour minimum wage, (that will include apprentices who give nothing back btw) inflated job tax (employers NI) increased rates, vat, corporation tax and whatever else he can dream up. They will be forced to increase their prices massively and cut jobs. One of the large companies we work for is already talking about moving out of the country if the LP get into power. Leaving everyone back where they started or worse, standing in the dole queue. 1970's here we come.

He blames partly our extremely hostile media, and partly JC's personal style which he perceives as possibly not fitting the current mood of the electorate.

Daphne, you claimed no tuition fees, free school meals fir all, reduced class sizes, free music lessons for all children, were affordable and we had them in 2007 . Now you tell me I don't understand something.

Have read it now and everything in this leaked document should be in any decent government's manifesto of whatever political persuasion, unless it doesn't believe that all of its citizens (and animals) deserve to live with dignity.

I think a little bit of perspective is needed here.

Germany has one of world's most successful mixed economies, with a strong welfare state, nationalised transport, and well on the way to nationalising its banks.
Industrial relationships are strong with clear emphasis on collective bargaining.

It's economy is one of the world's strongest.

That is the sort of utopia Corbyn is imagining.

I doubt it Ginny but who knows? There seems to be little interest in it either on here or on the news programmes as there seems to be nothing particularly unexpected. The vote is on it today and we will get the real thing which people will no doubt create more chatter.

It is strange that we see so much bile poured on the Labour manifesto suggestions when, as you say whitewave, some of them are very much mainstream in many countries. Germany is a good example; you would think people could relate to that but there are others and I rather think Corbyn would be seen as very much middle of the road in a country like Norway for instance which, as it is run as a parliamentary representative democratic constitutional monarchy, could hardly come into the 'communist' box.

What doesn't seem to be understood is how far, even some Labour voters, have moved to the right.

Then perhaps Corbyn should go live in Norway.

This is the UK, not Germany, not Norway and why compare the uk with countries in the EU, we are getting out and have to accept it, Corbyn said so.
