Should I vote Labour

I've just read the leaked LP manifesto and, for the life of me, I can't see anything "communist" in it.

The Resolution Foundation (a centre right think tank,so can't be accused of left-wing bias) has just compared the fiscal responsibility of the known plans by the Labour and Conservative Parties.

Their conclusion is that they are very similar, but the difference is where spending would be targeted and cuts made. Their conclusion is that the idea that Labour Party plans are "chaotic" and irresponsible isn't true.

Yes daphnedill It is one giant stinking, scam. These so called "training providers" are nothing more than brokers. They are paid by the government to find idiots companies like us to take the apprentices (saving the government paying them benefits) and they are paid again by idiots companies like us (currently £2,500 per year). In return for this money they send someone into us a couple of times a year with a sheet of paper who then ticks boxes to "prove" that the apprentice has leaned what he or she is supposed to. We could tell them anything. they have no way of knowing.

The latest is...... that the training provider said they can sign off our apprentice early in return for a large fee. Yeah right. It stinks.

Whitewave, may I correct you. Kinnock had to undo all the harm done by the far left, he did not harm the party, he worked so hard to build it back up after the 1983 disasterous election. Corbyn temporary? Foot was temporary and it took fourteen years to get labour electable again. So yes in my gut I do know what is right, to get labour into power we have to win votes from across the country not from just the north of England, the country will not vote for a far left government . If labour does win I will post and say I was wrong about the results, I will never say I was wrong about Corbyn.

Not asking you to annie just asking you to argue for fundamental Labour policies that will help the poor, sick and homeless.

So equal opportunities, a strong health service and housing. You know all the arguments. I don't want to teach you suck eggs!!!

Forget all the internal shenanigans with in the LP for a moment. What would you like to see the ideal Labour Party proposing annie?

I want to Whitewave but have tried and failed , there are few who will discuss the realities . Example I am against trident but have to accept there are so many who fear getting rid of it. I want a Labour government but accept there has to be compromise, we have to win votes in middle England . Only by winning an election can we help those I deeply care about .

So easy for those who post daily and attack me , I know poverty, I know depending on charity , I know reading my electric meter every evening to work out if I am keeping within what I can pay for. And to be constantly ridiculed by the Corbyn fanatics has now become tiring.

I don't give a stuff about free music for all, I care about the nightmare the disabled are subjected to when their benefits are taken from them, not the nonsense about nurses using food banks. I care about the homeless not the blood cries for those who send their children to private schools paying for school dinners for all children some of whom have parents who have two cars in the drive and holiday in the sun, it's going to the extreme and corbynites are wound up with this awful vengeance seeking,

annie those things may be annoying, but there's a whole lot more to LP policies than that, can you not overlook those things? Surely whatever things you dislike, as a labour person you must prefer even JC to the Conservatives? I don't expect them to win but it would certainly be good to have a proper left-leaning opposition for a change.

So you care about benefit cuts and building more houses? Both of those are addressed in Labour's leaked manifesto.

The manifesto supports Trident, against Corbyn's own belief.

Twitter has gone into overdrive saying how brilliant the manifesto is. Haven't found a negative comment yet.

That's great! I'm hoping that labour is rallying young people, I get the impression they're much more on the ball than CP as regards social media.

So I had intended to post all manifestos as published. Not sure whether to post this leaked one as everyone is so pleased with it.

Whitewave how can you say everyone is pleased with it ? Has everyone read it ? Or do you mean everyone in Twitter and not in this forum?

And of course there's the small matter of costing...

Which will come out with the ACTUAL publication of the ACTUAL manifesto Ana ... as I am quite sure you ACTUALLY know.

Where did you read the costings gillybob? I didn't know they had been published? Can we have the real figures please. I am not a Labour supporter but I would like the facts so if you have them - please share.

The 2015 Labour Party manifesto had something called the "Budget Responsibility Lock", which is the same thing as a balanced budget. It's called something else in the leaked draft manifesto (can't remember what), but it's the same thing.

The Resolution Foundation (a centre right think tank) has published a pre-election briefing:

This only a draft. AFAIK none of the parties has published a final manifesto.
