I am seriously getting worried, that that joke Corbyn might end up running he country, which will within months, put a new social policy in place to be paid for by the ones that work, and on their knees knees already, borrowing money, left right and centre, so that llike every labour government in history leave us in massive debts that will increase until, once again the country votes conservative to sort it all out. I probably won't be here it see that happen. I notuce the frugal life style Blair had, an example to all labour voters. He and his very rich family did very well out of it, pity the country didn't, particularly those youngsters sent to Iraq.

The election is point scoring. That's the whole point of an election. Whoever gets the most points wins.
How do you know who was shouting and laughing at May last night? They didn't wear rosettes or anything.
Did you hear Corbyn say that the manifesto is a collective manifesto, not just his, although Paxman tried to make it that way?

By the way, will you be happy if May loses because there were no costings?
If she loses, it will be all her doing, as she claims it is her manifesto.

Anniebach Tue 30-May-17 15:17:12

Roses, I thought the same, I cringed that yet again the Corbyn supporters were so goby.

rosesarered Tue 30-May-17 15:18:17

So, not answering then?

rosesarered Tue 30-May-17 15:19:29

All Labour supporters must know what they think should happen as regards the Leader if they lose this GE.

Anniebach Tue 30-May-17 15:19:44

Collective manifesto? The shadow cabinet , hardly going to disagree with him , think what happened to Hilary Benn, sacked, plus they wouldn't want to be added to the hit list

GracesGranMK2 Tue 30-May-17 15:24:09

It would certainly be interesting if departmental error was about the same as the fraud Jen; that was certainly the fraud figure. I expect they work just as hard as they do getting rid of the errors as they do with the fraud but really neither figure would make me think it is the biggest problem we have.

Anniebach Tue 30-May-17 15:25:26

Roses, he will not resign if he does lose, even thought the majority of labour MP's want shot of him

angelab Tue 30-May-17 15:25:28

If JC makes a sizeable inroad into TM's earlier lead I definitely think he should continue as leader. It would have been very easy for labour to 'give up', but instead they came out fighting which is a great credit to his leadership and to other LP mp's who rallied behind the party to give it their best shot (unlike some people on GN).

durhamjen Tue 30-May-17 15:28:50

Yes, GracesGran, I think the departmental error was more than fraud, the latest figures I saw.
Fruad is very small considering how many news inches it is given in the redtops.

Anniebach Tue 30-May-17 15:29:50

The labour MP's are not rallying around Corbyn, exception being the newbees in the shadow cabinet , they are beavering away to hold onto as many seats as they can to save the Labour Party from a repeat of 1983

durhamjen Tue 30-May-17 15:30:36

Do the majority of Labour MPs want rid of him? They might have done a year ago, but they've probably seen sense since then.
The majority of the Labour party members don't want rid of him.

Anniebach Tue 30-May-17 15:33:14

Oh yes they do want rid of him

rosesarered Tue 30-May-17 15:34:39

Yes, Labour ran a good campaign, Conservatives ran a poor one, Labour promised everything in their manifesto and the Conservatives promised nothing (much) and if the Conservatives still win the GE what does that tell you?
It tells me, that although the Conservatives and T May are not that popular and their manifesto is disappointing ( no give aways) the general public trust Corbyn and his cabinet so little that no matter what he says and promises, it is not believed, and furthermore they see him as a weak leader and not PM material.
Therefore surely no Labour supporter would want to see him still in office until another GE.

angelab Tue 30-May-17 15:35:40

Source, Annie? - or your opinion, stated as fact?

Anniebach Tue 30-May-17 15:36:57

If he has such support from the MP's how come we only get McDonald, Abbott and Thornbury give interviews , and how come many are fighting this election without his photograph on their fliers?

Anniebach Tue 30-May-17 15:38:20

Angelab, no different to Jens belief the majority have rallied around him with their support ,

durhamjen Tue 30-May-17 15:40:41

Well done, Annie, you spelt one name correctly, or was that an error?

Who gives interviews for the Tories?
Amber Rudd, Boris Johnson,Michael Fallon?
Have you seen his carcrash interviews?

GracesGranMK2 Tue 30-May-17 15:41:50

James, I am sorry to hear about your son-in-law. I'm afraid we have the nasty party unleashed in this election. The good thing is more and more people seem to think that the original Labour values have something to say.

Although winning this election from the point it started seems unlikely in the extreme we can hope to narrow the majority so May cannot get some of her more extreme and cruel policies through.

I agree Smileless with your post, Father Christmas (Corbyn) offering everything your kids could wish for but the poor parents having to pay for it all. He's offering anything and everything just to get a vote with no thought how to pay for it all, of course the short sighted and benefit grabbers will fall for it. Plenty of benefits as long as they don't have to pay and no thought for the bigger picture.

durhamjen Tue 30-May-17 15:51:26

Amber Rudd said that the government has started using temporary exclusion orders.
They have used one! Since 2015.

durhamjen Tue 30-May-17 15:54:43

Ninny, you have no idea how hard it is to get benefits these days, but I don't suppose you really care, as long as you can spout red top bile about'benefit grabbers'.

Before you post again, you really ought to read about James' son-in-law.

Anniebach Tue 30-May-17 16:03:52

No views on Corbyn having to search his iPad to find costings for childcare as promised in his manifesto Jen?

durhamjen Tue 30-May-17 16:07:19

No views on May not having any costings for anything, Annie?

angelab Tue 30-May-17 16:07:52

Annie, would you rate that as better or worse than TM doing a U-turn on benefit cap?
