www.independent.co.uk/voices/diane-abbott-car-crash-interview-ira-terrorism-manchester-attack-trap-tories-liability-a7760471.html

As the article says, we all like a trier and none are more trying than Diane Abbott.

Ginny42 Fri 09-Jun-17 12:05:13

Just for the record Diane Abbott increased her majority.

Rigby46 Fri 09-Jun-17 12:42:03

Unlike Rudd and Greening

whitewave Fri 09-Jun-17 13:18:29

How can Rudd have a major ministry with such a small majority?

durhamjen Fri 09-Jun-17 13:21:28

Kezia Dugdale needs to leave the Labour party. She told members to vote Tory.

MaizieD Fri 09-Jun-17 13:23:14

Well, it doesn't really depend on their personal majority, does it? It's their 'ability' that counts (and degree of loyalty to the Leader)

Jane10 Fri 09-Jun-17 13:24:34

Kezia is right. You'd understand if you lived up here! She's worked her socks off and Corbyn hasn't helped her at all.

MaizieD Fri 09-Jun-17 13:25:19

Kezia Dugdale needs to leave the Labour party. She told members to vote Tory.

An attempt at tactical voting that went badly wrong.

As did Labour refusing to withdraw for Sarah Olney in Richmond; letting the lovely Zac back in.

MaizieD Fri 09-Jun-17 13:26:48

Jane; why would Scottish Labour prefer the tories to the SNP?

stillaliveandkicking Fri 09-Jun-17 13:36:14

So ladies, you have not got your wish and Brexit is going ahead as planned. Congratulations May.

Penstemmon Fri 09-Jun-17 15:33:23

With 10 misogynist right wing fundamentalist Christians holding power over her. Phyrric victory.

mostlyharmless Fri 09-Jun-17 15:38:14

The equivalent of ten Donald Trumps I read somewhere.

mostlyharmless Fri 09-Jun-17 15:40:31

I don't think Brexit will be going ahead as May planned. It will have to be softer now. No mandate for a hard Brexit. And I don't think May will be leader for long SAAK

stillaliveandkicking Fri 09-Jun-17 16:00:55

My main want was Brexit to go ahead and it will, I don't think it will be a watered down version either.

Look on the bright side, she now definitely knows who's in and who's out. I also think there was a bigger reason behind this and she will rise out of the ashes.

If nothing else the young will all go back to bed and Nicola Sturgen didn't get her way smile))

devongirl Fri 09-Jun-17 16:15:00

Keep your head in the sand, saak

stillaliveandkicking Fri 09-Jun-17 16:22:40

Nope no sand round here devon, Im in the heart of London and got rid of my sons little sand pit years ago smile Im not a doom-monger either unlike some!

Penstemmon Fri 09-Jun-17 18:38:01

Well I think only 5 of the Outer London boroughs voted to Leave. The heart of London voted to Remain. grin

stillaliveandkicking Fri 09-Jun-17 18:42:27

The tactical side of this election stank and so did Labour. Making promises that they would never ever be able to keep. Dangling carrots right left and centre smile Of course the heart of London voted remain as they aren't affected and only benefit from staying in the EU.

daphnedill Fri 09-Jun-17 20:43:03

They aren't affected by what?

stillaliveandkicking Fri 09-Jun-17 20:59:36

Do you agree that most home owners in London are affluent now daph? and they love a bit of cheap labour?

GracesGranMK2 Fri 09-Jun-17 21:04:43

It's very unlikely that the sort of Brexit you want will happen now SAAK. She has no majority and little or no authority. I rather think she will keep having to prove her integrity too.

stillaliveandkicking Fri 09-Jun-17 21:10:15

I think it will take a couple of months for the dust to settle. Most working class that I speak to want to get out and totally. The sheer lies that the labour party dangled were pretty shocking. This will also come to light.

May now knows what snakes were around her and can build a true cabinet because of it.

For me, she is the most integral, non lying person to date for a very long long time.

Penstemmon Fri 09-Jun-17 21:16:55

What do you think shows integrity in selling arms to Saudi Arabia and holding hand with trump??

stillaliveandkicking Fri 09-Jun-17 21:20:38

A labour government hasn't done that then pen? I think you will find that it has. I also think that Trump was elected by a majority for a reason. He's shaken a few feathers which I quite like and whether anyone can get their heads around it or not he does make sense in quite major issues.

Penstemmon Fri 09-Jun-17 21:20:41

SAAK I have a number of friends and family in London. They all vote Labour /remain. They cover a range of socio economic situations..from kitchen 'boys' to teachers. I do not know any wealthy Londoners.

stillaliveandkicking Fri 09-Jun-17 21:23:42

Then that doesn't make sense to me at all.

Remain = free movement and jobs being taken from people that do not need this this to happen at all.

Labour - I totally get this concept but at the moment what is promised is unworkable.

Get one thing done and done well rather than guggling too many plates and nothing ever gets done.
