inews.co.uk/essentials/news/world/trumps-new-communications-chief-backed-clinton/

He's chosen a brilliant replacement for his communications chief, someone who can't decide whose side he is on.

Chewbacca Sun 23-Jul-17 21:56:32

Really M0nica? That explains a lot! grin

AlieOxon Mon 24-Jul-17 08:33:03

dj that must explain the dancing connection!

durhamjen Mon 24-Jul-17 11:54:40

Definitely, AlieOxon.
I suppose when he gets sacked in two months time, he'll be a shoe-in for American Strictly.

AlieOxon Mon 24-Jul-17 13:34:12

He'll be getting his practice in now!

AlieOxon Tue 01-Aug-17 10:47:58

dj, you were wrong! It's only ten days!

He couldn't do the fandango....and its second meaning is 'tomfoolery'....

durhamjen Tue 01-Aug-17 10:52:16

What a good way to be wrong, though.
He was escorted out of the White House. I wonder what they thought he was going to do!

whitewave Tue 01-Aug-17 11:04:53

That's military discipline for you grin

grumppa Tue 01-Aug-17 11:45:14

It's a sad day when a takeover by the military looks like the least worst option for the world's most powerful democracy.

Even trump can't have everything he wants.

durhamjen Tue 01-Aug-17 11:51:04

Something else to make you smile.

Try this:

Absolutely no sense of humor....

durhamjen Thu 03-Aug-17 11:35:23

I love that, AlieOxon.
The singer still expects to be the singer at the end of the year, but will trump still be president by the end of the summer.

We don't need any silly season stuff in our politicians - although there is plenty with Boris, Fox and Gove.
Sounds like a band, doesn't it?
Trump is enough to amuse us until parliament reopens.

durhamjen Thu 03-Aug-17 15:43:53

Yesterday was Earth overshoot day, the day when we have used up too many resources.
Trump doesn't believe in climate change, but the US uses the equivalent of five planets every year.

www.theweek.co.uk/87383/earth-overshoot-day-nobody-breathe-for-the-next-five-months

Hope trump isn't still president at the end of the summer, and that we get someone who cares about the planet.

AlieOxon Mon 07-Aug-17 09:27:21

Concise trump position here.

www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-40829988

PS. I had to look it up, not being a golf player - a 'mulligan' is 'an extra stroke allowed after a poor shot, not counted on the scorecard' .........

AlieOxon Mon 07-Aug-17 09:29:12

dj I notice you are still not allowing him a capitol!

Miep1 Mon 07-Aug-17 11:34:46

I can't decide whether the aforementioned idiot is self-delusional or just deluded. Either way, isn't it about time someone shot him? I'd like to bet even an 'organised' killer would do it for free!

AlieOxon Mon 07-Aug-17 11:42:31

Not keen on the previous post.....

Wouldn't it be better to see him thrown out?

durhamjen Mon 07-Aug-17 11:48:32

Yes, AlieOxon. As an English teacher, it takes some thought to not capitalise trump, but I still manage.

I agree about not shooting him. Court is a much better idea.

durhamjen Mon 07-Aug-17 22:31:16

Paul Mason thinks he could be out within a year.

www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2017/aug/07/trump-out-in-year-usa-problems-just-beginning-paul-mason

AlieOxon Tue 08-Aug-17 07:34:45

Whoo, yes! 'Problems just beginning.'
- here too. I already saw the parallels.....

What a mess.

MaizieD Tue 08-Aug-17 08:37:20

dj I notice you are still not allowing him a capitol!

Oh. I thought that you were making a play on words here, Aliegrin

I keep wondering; has he yet done anything to actually improve the lives of all those poor people who voted for him?

durhamjen Tue 08-Aug-17 11:06:38

Does he have a seat in the Capitol?
He's very rarely there anyway.

AlieOxon Tue 08-Aug-17 13:24:31

I was, Maizie - doesn't matter if he's there or not......
