EXCLUSIVE: New CCTV footage reveals Jeremy Corbyn told truth about 'Traingate'

I think someone owes Corbyn an apology. It won't happen of course but at least this may balance the story the owners of the news wanted us to hear.

Anniebach Thu 24-Aug-17 14:10:37

I choose not to read voxpox because you Jen posted a voxpox link claiming Corbyn was involved in the NI peace talks, he was not , he openly supported the IRA and wasn't trusted, little wonder after inviting IRA leaders to Westminster whilst people there were still in shock and grieving following the Brighton bombing . He also campaigned to have a member of the IRA who was found guilty of murders to be classed a political prisoner not a murderer

durhamjen Thu 24-Aug-17 14:11:30

Yes, Annie, take notice of Ana. Calling someone a liar is a playground insult.

durhamjen Thu 24-Aug-17 14:12:20

Who is deflecting now, Annie?
Traingate?

devongirl Thu 24-Aug-17 14:17:29

dj you know, it's really not worth getting into an argument with annie, you're on a hiding to nothing.

I think it is certainly worth questioning Annie's arguments when they are misleading though devongirl.

petra Thu 24-Aug-17 18:38:51

anniebach
There are many posters who believe what your saying, including me but I've a sneaking suspicion that they just can't be arsed anymore. Can't say I blame them.

Primrose65 Thu 24-Aug-17 18:46:13

exactly petra and annieback
There's no point as there's no discussion about the topic. Even the OP has posted more about Annie than she has on the topic she started! It's just an excuse to pick on people under the veil of political argument.
It's sad and pathetic.

durhamjen Thu 24-Aug-17 19:04:26

Pick on people? Like Annie picks on Corbyn on every thread she goes on?

Anniebach Thu 24-Aug-17 19:16:55

Petra, being honest It's the same clique and their protection of Corbyn is sad, picking on Corbyn my foot, I am feeding their need again

An elderly woman picking on a man who supports blowing up , shooting and knee capping people and admits to being a friend of Hamas , bet he weeps into his pillow every night grin

Baggs Thu 24-Aug-17 19:32:35

Corbyn is a public person. We are allowed to "pick on" and criticise him and any other similar public person, who's supposed to be working for us and is being paid by us, as much as we like. It's called democracy.

And the people who complain, for instance, about persons picking on Corbyn do exactly the same sort of thing to people whose politics/lifestyle/persona they take issue with. What's the difference? What do they have to complain about, really? Zilch.

Elegran Thu 24-Aug-17 19:40:51

When a keen supporter points out the faults they detect in someone on the other side it is a critical appraisal, Baggs. When someone else points out the faults they can see in the one that the supporter admires, it is picking on them.

Anniebach Thu 24-Aug-17 19:44:16

Yep, hypocritical to go on and on and on and on about democracy but try to prevent freedom of speech

GracesGranMK2 Thu 24-Aug-17 19:45:16

I don't see anyone being picked on. If you try to hijack every single politics thread with anti-Corbyn propaganda you are likely to get a few replies to your posts that you may not agree with.

It is nothing to do with not attacking a politicians; it is greatly to do with the hijacking of other topics. If AB wishes she could start her own anti-Corbyn thread. I don't think anyone would say anything about her posting constant anti-Corbyn comments on there although, of course, they might still challenge the truth of what she is saying.

If a thread is directly about Corbyn it is understandable that we get a variety of views but why she has to pop up with her poison on every politics thread and try to hijack them for her own sad purpose is beyond me.

petra Thu 24-Aug-17 20:01:53

GracesGran
I think ' poison' and 'sad purpose' is a bit strong.
My OH has been a labour member all his working life together with being a union activist.
His hatred of Corbyn is exactly the hatred he had for Thatcher. Annie is not alone in her opinion of Corbyn, there are thousands like her.

Baggs Thu 24-Aug-17 20:06:12

There’s no such thing as "her (or his) own thread" on Gransnet. People do not own threads they start.

GracesGranMK2 Thu 24-Aug-17 20:29:50

I know that Baggs. I meant it in the sense that it is a thread you start - anyone can do that - that is on the topic you choose. But I have a strong feeling you know that and this is just more of your nitpicking in order to deflect.

GracesGranMK2 Thu 24-Aug-17 20:32:56

Petra I am sure that has some truth (not sure about the thousands) but all those people do not hijack every other conversation. Annie does.

Anniebach Thu 24-Aug-17 20:39:58

I do not agree that my comments on Corbyn are poison, I have always spoken out against people like him.

durhamjen Thu 24-Aug-17 21:27:37

People like him?
You are supposed to be a socialist, but you like Jacob Rees-Mogg.
I think you are a bit mixed up.

lemongrove Thu 24-Aug-17 21:36:58

Oh come on, the train thing was a PR stunt by team Corbyn.
Leaders of The Opposition do not have to sit on train floors.
His team would have been able to book seats ahead of time.
Which other important politician do you hear of ,sitting on the floors of public transport? Can't believe that anyone was taken in by it all.

Baggs Thu 24-Aug-17 21:37:16

Deflect from what, gg? Nit-picking on a nit-picking thread seems entirely appropriate wink

And talking of nits, I found a new use for an old nit comb the other day: cleaning a vacuum cleaner brush.

lemongrove Thu 24-Aug-17 21:38:20

?

Anniebach Thu 24-Aug-17 21:51:19

Jacob .Rees Mogg amuses me , I do not agree with his politics

I am a socialist , have never left the party, even when a labour government made my village pay towards the removal of the remaining tips out of money donated to the village , I had to weigh up this one decision against the good I believed a labour government would do. It was the Blair labour government who gave the village the money back and is invested to pay for the upkeep of the memorial garden. I stuck with the party even thought I marched against the Iraq ŵar, the Blair socislist party did much good.

Corbyn is not a socialist he is a communist, he will destroy the Labour Party and I truly believe he will cause as much harm to the country as thatcher did, like her he will let nothing stop him trying to achieve his dream communist country

So for people like him read communist

GracesGranMK2 Thu 24-Aug-17 22:12:39

I have always spoken out against people like him.

No Annie, you are speaking out about what sort of person you have decided he is and pushing your prejudice (opinion not based on fact) down our throats which you are entirely entitled to do but taking over threads about other political matters is hijacking that thread and we are entitled to complain about that.
