EXCLUSIVE: New CCTV footage reveals Jeremy Corbyn told truth about 'Traingate'

I think someone owes Corbyn an apology. It won't happen of course but at least this may balance the story the owners of the news wanted us to hear.

durhamjen Thu 24-Aug-17 22:16:53

You need to read what you wrote about Mogg on the Mogg thread, Annie. You did not say he amuses you, you said you liked him. Quite different.
By the way, that's where you said "Corbyn is a liar, think traingate."

petra Thu 24-Aug-17 22:26:20

I don't think Annie is the only one who believes Corbyn is a communist, I for one do.

durhamjen Thu 24-Aug-17 22:29:53

You would, petra, but that's nothing to do with traingate.

Channel 4 news tried to track down his communist credentials and couldn't find any.
I suppose you have proof?

Anniebach Thu 24-Aug-17 22:30:04

Yes I do like Rees Mogg, I have friends who are members of the tory party .

I do not trust this new video evidence ,a year late, so you will have to accept it, I have no wish the keep this going so you can make jibes , how you have changed since becoming a Corbyn deciple .

Anniebach Thu 24-Aug-17 22:33:40

I firmly believe him to be a communist Petra .

Jen will want to keep this thread going so she can talk about him.

durhamjen Thu 24-Aug-17 22:35:54

The thread is about the truth, Annie. You believe in the truth, don't you?

Primrose65 Thu 24-Aug-17 22:37:05

Opinions, facts and the truth are often different things dj

durhamjen Thu 24-Aug-17 22:39:00

Two people believe him to be a communist, one in the Labour party and one not in the Labour party.

How many new members are there who do not believe him a communist?
Labour party rules are that you cannot belong to another party, which includes the Communist party.
Go on, find your proof, and get your wish to have him barred from the Labour party. I challenge you.

Anniebach Thu 24-Aug-17 22:48:17

One can be a communist without being a member of the communist party. I suggest you calm doen, you tend to get over excited when you talk about that devious man. I shall have a game of scrabble

durhamjen Thu 24-Aug-17 22:54:48

No proof, then, just suggesting it and giving someone a bad name.

John Reid said he used to believe in communism; he also believed in father Christmas. That was when he was working for your friend Neil Kinnock.

durhamjen Thu 24-Aug-17 22:56:31

One can also support the Tories while pretending to be a socialist, can't one, Annie?

Primrose65 Thu 24-Aug-17 23:08:10

One can be a Labour Party supporter while thinking Corbyn is a useful idiot.

GracesGranMK2 Thu 24-Aug-17 23:32:37

So now you know how Corbyn is thinking Annie. You believe he's communist although there is no proof so you decide you do not need proof, he is a communist as long as you say so whatever he says he is.

Opinions, facts and the truth are often different things
Indeed they can Primrose but an opinion not based on truth or facts is a prejudice. You (and I) are perfectly entitled to hold prejudices but it would be more honest to admit that's what they are rather than saying someone is a liar because their first hand evidence does not match up to your prejudice.

Gracesgran Thank you for posting that. It shows the actual times so I really can't see how it can be disputed. It has only just been released because Virigin was being obstructive. And, as someone said, there are names of several people who confirmed that the train was packed, and film of several groups of people sitting on the floor - I'm sure they can't all be members of Momentum!

Despite all that, I absolutely knew that it would be greeted with denial and the usual slurs and insults from some quarters. .

Anniebach to say that Corbyn is "a man who supports blowing up , shooting and knee capping people" is, in my opinion, libellous.

nigglynellie Fri 25-Aug-17 06:56:47

annie, you remind me of Winston Churchill in the wilderness years when he alone constantly warned, to the derision of his peers, of the rise of Nazism in continental europe! No one listened, everyone ridiculed him, and look what happened!! I admire your tenacity and I have a feeling you could well be right - as you know I'm not a Labour voter, but for what it's worth, I support you. The present leadership is certainly sinister.

loopyloo Fri 25-Aug-17 08:07:39

The biggest lie is that lots of extra money can be spent on the NHS, schools, social services, students at university and that enough money will come from taxing the very rich.
Forget about Traingate.

Anniebach Fri 25-Aug-17 08:48:24

I am quite sure one can be a Tory whilst pretending to be a socialist Jen. Therefore it follows one can be a communist whilst pretending to be a socialist.

GG, one has proof of a persons political beliefs by their words and ambitions.

Anniebach Fri 25-Aug-17 08:55:39

Niggly, thank you for your kind words . I must irritate some but I have been involved with the Labour Party through good and bad times and for more years than most of those here who would silence me.

whitewave Fri 25-Aug-17 08:56:07

Winston Churchill in his wilderness years grin

Anniebach Fri 25-Aug-17 08:56:12

So true loopyloo

GracesGranMK2 Fri 25-Aug-17 09:11:45

GG, one has proof of a persons political beliefs by their words and ambitions

So you are right-wing and quite far to the right AB. That is exactly what your "words and ambitions" have shown on Gransnet. I have certainly seen none of your so called 'proof 'that you are socialist in any way.

Whereas I have seen plenty of proof, by his words and ambitions, that Corbyn is a socialist. Although he seems to be pro the mixed economy (a socialist stance) that we had after the war and up to Thatcher, I have not heard him say anything about the state ownership of all means of production nor have I heard him say anything about an abolition of democracy in favour of a one party state - in fact it seems that more Tories believe they are the only ones able to be a government in spite of the evidence to the contrary.

GracesGranMK2 Fri 25-Aug-17 09:14:02

"The biggest lie is that lots of extra money can be spent on the NHS, schools, social services, students at university and that enough money will come from taxing the very rich."

No loopbyloo, the biggest lie is that any party has suggested this.

nigglynellie Fri 25-Aug-17 09:50:15

Traingate was obviously a PR exercise. Anyone with a grain of intelligence would pre book their journey to ensure their seating,; it's not elitist, we ALL do it! so I find it hard to believe that Mr Corbyn and his entourage, left purchasing their tickets until the absolute last minute en route to a pre arranged venue. Was this due to stupidity or a deliberate attempt to embarrass the network. It was obviously one thing or the other, neither particularly edifying.

Anniebach Fri 25-Aug-17 10:08:15

What party leader plus staff would just hop on a train to travel to an organised event, no seats booked . If they can't arrange a train journey how the hell can they run the country

GracesGranMK2 Fri 25-Aug-17 10:12:42

Aiming off again AB.
