UKIP, EDL, BNP .... what will happen when Brexit falls apart?

We can mock and laugh, and also feel sorry for some of the people whose comments in TV and newspaper interviews, and rants in streets or public transport- often showing very poor level of education and understanding - but they will be dangerous- and Farage is egging them on?!

jura2 Fri 19-Jan-18 14:00:28

This thread was clearly about a small section of leavers, UKIP, but mainly (didn't make that clear, my bad) - EDL and BNP. That was 100% clear in the title of the thread- no way did I say, or anyone, that all leavers were racist, NO WHERE - apart from in your head petra, and a few others.

You are deliberately misreading and misinterpreting a thread that was very clear from the start. If you 'know it's there' it may well be because it is, for you.

lemongrove Fri 19-Jan-18 13:59:48

Petra wink I wouldn’t say clever, I would use the word crafty.

MaizieD Fri 19-Jan-18 13:36:14

You have just completely taken my breath away, petra.

I've seen a lot of stupid statements on this forum but that one really takes the biscuit.

I'm glad you think we're clever, though...

petra Fri 19-Jan-18 13:31:27

MaizeD
You, and many other posters who voted to remain have always been clever enough not to state categorically that we leavers are racist, but we all know it's there.

MaizieD Fri 19-Jan-18 13:19:46

Can you cite a post in which I say that Leavers are racists?

I don't think you'll find one; I think you're just making this up..

ninny Fri 19-Jan-18 13:16:36

That's the problem you and some other remainer posters don't.

MaizieD Fri 19-Jan-18 13:03:09

If the cap fits, ninny....

Otherwise, please separate justifiable condemnation of racists who voted Leave from generalisations which you, as a Leaver, are making.

ninny Fri 19-Jan-18 12:58:38

Actually I think it's the other way around Remainers calling Leavers, racist, xenophobic and worse.

MaizieD Fri 19-Jan-18 10:31:48

How common MaizieD your true colours showing.

How hypocrtical, ninny

I actually abhor such rudeness but I am truly fed up with people who democratically oppose Brexit being subject to stupid name calling. You, and other Leavers, tell me that you don't approve of Leavers being called 'Remoaners', either and I might be more tolerant of bad mannered individuals who want to reduce the debate to playground level.

ninny Fri 19-Jan-18 09:54:38

Spot on Day6 and Lemongrove agree with all your posts.
How common MaizieD your true colours showing.

durhamjen Fri 19-Jan-18 09:30:39

Are you on repeat, lemon...
What new things have you said?
Can you tell us one way in which life will be improved if we leave the EU?

lemongrove Fri 19-Jan-18 09:27:41

You have thought that from the start I expect Maizie but who cares? Your one is just coarse though.
You have nothing new to say and Brexit will soon be a reality.Get over it.

MaizieD Fri 19-Jan-18 09:14:54

Remoaners on here...

I have held off for a long time but I think from now on Leavers are Brexshitters

lemongrove Fri 19-Jan-18 09:10:30

You said it all Day6 so I don’t need to, but will just add.....
Because they have nothing new to say, Remoaners on here are doing the tired all racist jibes that pop up on here to try and make anyone who voted Leave feel uncomfortable.....it’s the only arrow left in their quiver! However, as we on here are not racist it needn’t concern us, neither does imagining some future anarchy.

jura2 Fri 19-Jan-18 09:09:51

I'm happy we're clear who exactly people are concerned about.

Not yet, according to Day6's last post sad

loopyloo Fri 19-Jan-18 07:29:49

All I said on page 1 was that Momentum was keen to take protest to the streets. By which I meant our legitimate right to march in the streets. I did not mean public disorder and rioting.
And I hope the left has not lost the will to protest on behalf of the people as at the end of the day that is sometimes the only thing to be done.

Day6 Fri 19-Jan-18 00:20:48

"Unbelievable that some posters refuse to see the danger of racist attacks escalating further. Wake up!"

No one is denying racists exist but are we to live in fear of riots - or is that just another Project Fear ploy? When was the last racist riot by the way? Most nationalist group rallies are few, controversial when they happen and are shunned by most. Why will it be any different after Brexit?

Scare mongering?

Remainers have done their best to portray anyone who voted Leave as a person who went that way because they are racist. That in itself is disgusting. The reasons for getting out of the EU are many and various. The OP is a mixture of snobbish disdain and a sneering record of how she 'mocks' and 'laughs at' people without her standard of education who hold different views. She'd probably prefer it if people had to hand in a record of their educational achievements before being allowed to vote.

It does outline what the press has mentioned. Remainers and many left wingers are imperious and full of contempt for others. You can almost see their lips curling in derision at those who want to leave the EU and they gleefully use racism as a tired old smear. It's very telling.

Maggiemaybe Fri 19-Jan-18 00:09:10

I don't think the march on the Supreme Court actually happened, did it? Didn't Farage call it off when it became obvious that he couldn't muster enough support?

MissAdventure Fri 19-Jan-18 00:01:02

confused yes!

MaizieD Thu 18-Jan-18 23:54:54

I'm happy we're clear who exactly people are concerned about.

Has it taken 3 pages to work that out?hmm

MissAdventure Thu 18-Jan-18 23:54:53

The only question I can answer yes to is the picture of Farage.
I never said I know anything about racists. I said it was my opinion (the phrase was "I think") that they're in a bed all their own, and I would imagine that doesn't need explaining, surely?
As for racists voting for brexit, I'm sure some did. I imagine some didn't bother, but I'm afraid I can't say for definite because I don't know anyone who is openly racist.

durhamjen Thu 18-Jan-18 23:51:04

"A host of far-right groups are set to join Nigel Farage in a march on the Supreme Court.

Britain First, The British National Party (BNP) and English Defence League (EDL) are among the biggest planning to send delegates to protest the ruling last week that MPs must vote on triggering Article 50.

They will join Farage, Ukip’s interim leader, in the demonstration tipped to attract 100,000 people.

Farage called the rally after judges ruled Theresa May had no right to begin Britain’s exit from the European Union without first consulting Parliament.

He branded it a “deliberate, wilful attempt to frustrate this referendum” and even said one of the judges should not have been allowed to sit on the High Court panel. "

Huffpost 2016.

durhamjen Thu 18-Jan-18 23:47:42

So how do you know racists are in a bed all of their own?
Do you agree that racists voted for Brexit?
I presume you do remember Farage standing in front of that poster.

MissAdventure Thu 18-Jan-18 23:04:37

I dont know any racists, Jen. I tend not to mix with people like that.

durhamjen Thu 18-Jan-18 22:59:47

Do you know any racists who didn't vote Brexit, Missadventure?
