I think some of us grannies still trust the BBC to be the way it was when we were little and it was run by Lord Reith. In fact these days programmes are often produced by companies with an entirely different remit, like the Tinoplis Group which produces Question Time. How do we know whether they have apolitical agenda?

I always understood that the BBC used to broadcast lists of numbers that gave instructions to our spies in other countries during the cold war. Perhaps, in the past, those now running UKIP joined up with the other "spies" the MSN has been trying to convince us of.
