Continuity of previous thread.

It is interesting to know that the Tories have chosen the environment as one of the focuses in order to try and tackle the young vote.

This morning I read that this failing government (shades of Trumpgrin is refusing to sign up to the EUs plan to tackle plastic waste.

A prime example f this government shooting itself in the foot on a number of levels.

The UN has ruled that there are systematic and structural failings against the disabled in the U.K.

A high court judge has ruled that there is systematic prejudice against those with mental health issues in PIP.

Parents, charities, and others have begged the government to re-visit this issue, but they simply refused to listen. Remember IDS and his arrogance?

Result?

Their arrogance will cost us £3bn in order to put it right.

The NASTY PARTY in full cry. Just watch as their supporters spin this one in favour of a “caring government”

Top Tory donors are calling for Maybot to go

Stephen Hawking and others have obtained permission to test the governments intention to pursue privatisation in GP surgeries, arguing that the privatisation has not been passed by Parliament.

Naturally the government is trying to say that there is no intention to privatise, rather like the denial that our e onomy will not take a savage hit after Brexit.

Maybot off to another waste of time in China. Brave lady though, remember what happened when Thatcher went to Paris?

Tory voters strongly back May 69%

That’s because they can’t bear to contemplate any of the other losers

The mass snooping regime instigated by May has been ruled unlawful by the Courts.

Government has decided not to appose Labour in the demand to publish the latest impact assessment.

What on earth was yesterday all about then?

Oppose

The whisper is that the 1922 have sufficient letters (48) to trigger a leadership challenge. I bet they don’t trigger it because
(a) who would want the leadership?
(b) who is capable of holding the Tories together
(c) who is capable

Very weird.

A Tory M.P. gets disciplined for suggesting that policy should be based on evidence.

Another Tory M.P. gets away with saying that what information the government produces is rubbish

Maybot will not like tomorrow’s Spectator (the Tory in-house magazine) headlines.

Lead or go

If Theresa May was a true leader she would never have been bullied by the brexit brigade into abandoning her principles.

Admittedly she was a pretty lukewarm Remainer but she has never even yet said that if she had to vote today she would change her vote.

Because she does not believe in brexit, she has felt required to bend over backwards to out-brexit the brexiteers by flagging up these "red lines" which would put us in an even more impossible position.

If she hadn't got the guts to stand by her beliefs and say "OK I note the result of the referendum, but it was only advisory so lets try to go back to Brussells and negotiate a better deal for staying in", then at least she should have opted for a very "soft" brexit, reflecting the lack of support that any hard brexit really has.

By making herself a hostage to the small number of extremists in her party, she has shot herself in the foot.

They won't let me look at it without paying.
Typical Tory magazine.

So MP Lee was told to keep his views to himself or face the sack.

If only those MPs on both Labour and Tory, who have come to realise Brexit is a disaster - would have the guts to put party politics aside, and walk the floor to Lib Dem- and send a very powerful message. Churchill himself did it several times ....

Capita in difficulties now. They run backroom services in GP services. Believe it or not, their auditors are KPMG.
Looks like a pattern.
If Capita goes bust, the government are going to have to nationalise all their services.

How long can Maybot lost?

Why did she have to go to China to tell us more than she has done already?

whitewave Fri 02-Feb-18 21:08:53

Anyone sees the Kuensburg interview with Maybot.

Maybot was as dreadful as she has ever been.

I give her until the May elections

durhamjen Fri 02-Feb-18 21:16:09

Kuennsberg had to corner her.
That's what I meant. Laura got her to say more than she has done lately.
The Chinese are really pleased that May is joining them on human rights.

mostlyharmless Fri 02-Feb-18 22:12:54

Laura Kuenssberg said that May was talking "meaningless waffle".
Exactly!

durhamjen Sat 03-Feb-18 00:47:30

I agree with that. She was just saying much more than usual, probably because she didn't want to hear the next question.
