I am hoping that this latest news item about Venezuela will open the eyes of those (can there still be anyone though?) who persist in defending the ghastly Corbyn.

In answer to your question MOnica, No! Watching Venezuela last night I felt extreme anger that such an oil rich country could be in such a dire economic state verging on a catastrophe! Starving children, empty super markets? ! How on earth has this happened? Why is it being allowed to continue? If that is left wing politics then you can keep it. Is this what Corbyn and Macdonell want for us? If so, the thought of them in power is more than frightening!

Why are posters quiet about this thread? Because they would have to face reality rather than building castles in the sky and thinking they were real.

I am curious. Can anyone name a single Socialist/ Communist state that has been a long term success? The best I can think of is Cuba, but this is a state with a lot of censorship still and and a lot of poverty. it has only survived because at first it had massive Soviet aid and when that was withdrawn began playing footsie with the west.
