Simple title so should be easy to update everyone with any bits of knowledge we gain.

I have always found it weird that self proclaimed pacifists defend Corbyn's support of the IRA . Have no problem with him campaigning to have a terrorist convicted of murdering five people declared a political prisoner

Anniebach Sun 18-Mar-18 13:58:02

I have never read one thread where anyone has been called a pariah, so dramatic

lemongrove Sun 18-Mar-18 13:59:40

It is nobody’s business but our own as to who we actually vote for when an election comes around. Therefore it is just a matter of being nosy to ask another poster.
If Corbyn wasn’t the leader, and they had somebody sensible in charge, and if Cable wasn’t leader, ditto and if May wasn’t leader ditto, then I would have to give it some long hard thought for the next GE.
There is time for all that to happen though in the next few years.

"is seen as a pariah" doesn't mean the word pariah is used on the thread.

durhamjen Sun 18-Mar-18 14:13:14

Like Eloethan says, why should anyone be ashamed of the fact that they have said they voted Tory or have never voted Labour?
I once said I voted green, and it is regularly brought up on political threads.

Jalima1108 Sun 18-Mar-18 14:14:30

Floating voters are definitely beyond the pale then
grin

Jalima1108 Sun 18-Mar-18 14:16:00

I don't know why it should be (voting green I mean).

durhamjen Sun 18-Mar-18 14:16:58

I have even, on occasion - not going to tell you how many - voted Libdem.

Jalima1108 Sun 18-Mar-18 14:18:45

shock
join the club

Jalima1108 Sun 18-Mar-18 14:19:48

and I once voted for the MRLP
that was in local elections as the rest were all numpties

Primrose65 Sun 18-Mar-18 14:20:52

Jalima grin

durhamjen Sun 18-Mar-18 14:21:23

Had to check what that meant. Shows that they are even less thought about than kippers.

Jalima1108 Sun 18-Mar-18 14:21:28

Truth or Lie?

It was the Truth

Jalima1108 Sun 18-Mar-18 14:22:07

I was very young at the time

durhamjen Sun 18-Mar-18 14:23:57

I bet nobody would admit now to still being a kipper.

Anniebach Sun 18-Mar-18 14:37:31

I think anyone voting for Lib Dems must either support the reasons the SDP came about, or they are Liberal supporters , how can anyone supporting Corbyn knowing his history of militancy vote SDP

durhamjen Sun 18-Mar-18 15:21:20

Corbyn's history of militancy?
I think you are becoming a bit confused, Annie.

mostlyharmless Sun 18-Mar-18 15:22:35

Yes come back Screaming Lord Sutch. It’s good to challenge the established parties sometimes.

durhamjen Sun 18-Mar-18 15:23:49

Nobody votes SDP either. They do not exist any more.
A bit like MRLP.

durhamjen Sun 18-Mar-18 15:24:32

Isn't he dead now, mostlyharmless?

mostlyharmless Sun 18-Mar-18 15:26:02

One thing we definitely know that Corbyn stands for Annie is peace. Well I know you won’t agree with that but it’s generally accepted.

mostlyharmless Sun 18-Mar-18 15:27:54

Yes you’re right dj of course.

durhamjen Sun 18-Mar-18 15:31:40

Committed suicide in 1999.
That would make it interesting.

mostlyharmless Sun 18-Mar-18 15:32:28

He did add a bit of fun to elections though!

Anniebach Sun 18-Mar-18 15:34:55

no Dj not confused, his campaign to have expelled militants back in the party
