I've gone all 'My Fair Lady' grin

NanaandGrampy Tue 19-Jun-18 16:19:33

Gorgeous ! I’m right with you there Merlotgran

Luckygirl Tue 19-Jun-18 16:19:44

It must be tedious having to turn up in posh gear everywhere instead of slopping about in jeans as I do.

dogsmother Tue 19-Jun-18 16:32:32

Looks to me as though she’s still finding her feet a bit. Still not quite there, it’s much nicer but a little staged perhaps by an adviser. I feel it’s lacking her own personality somehow.

Mapleleaf Tue 19-Jun-18 16:41:30

She looks fine. ?

Greyduster Tue 19-Jun-18 16:47:32

I am by no means a hat person but that one gets a thumbs up. Wonder if she backed a winner (apart from Harry!)?

BlueBelle Tue 19-Jun-18 16:59:26

I can’t stand hats they don’t suit me but she looks lovely can’t see how she could do any better Not sure what people want or expect It’s not over sized or silly looks very elegant, good job done

Anniebach Tue 19-Jun-18 16:59:37

Smart but too ‘My Fair .lady’.

Sophie looked elegent as always and an improvement for Beatrice and Eugenie .

petra Tue 19-Jun-18 17:38:44

Lovely hat, nice frock. But not the two together. The hat was too formal and structured for a casual frock. IMHO grin

SueDonim Tue 19-Jun-18 17:45:33

She looks lovely but from the side, the hat looks like one of those hood things they wear in The Handmaid's Tale!

You're right, Sue. The hat looks lovely from the front but from the side? grin grin

Nannylovesshopping Tue 19-Jun-18 20:35:06

What a fabulous look, just stunning!

Iam64 Tue 19-Jun-18 21:11:36

lovely

maryeliza54 Tue 19-Jun-18 21:26:43

Horrible dress nice hat

Anniebach Tue 19-Jun-18 21:53:15

A shirtwaister too casual though

gillybob Tue 19-Jun-18 22:06:29

Sorry but from the side it reminds me of a plate in a Chinese restaurant with chopsticks laid out ready to use.

merlotgran Tue 19-Jun-18 22:34:04

grin Stop it!

I really loved the hat when I first saw it. grin

muffinthemoo Tue 19-Jun-18 22:52:42

I am not a big fan of that dress. Seems casual for a member of the Royal Family at Ascot.

I also think Clare Waight Keller routinely puts her in things that are a couple of inches too long.

But then no one ever appointed me to head Givenchy, so what do I know!!

phoenix Tue 19-Jun-18 23:00:16

The problem with links to newspapers is that they change!

The one merlot posted is now all about something rather sad , although of course that will change too.

SueDonim Tue 19-Jun-18 23:04:10

Have you cancelled your Amazon order for one of those hats, Merlot? grin

merlotgran Tue 19-Jun-18 23:30:58

Amazon? I was hoping it might end up on eBay like Beatrice's pretzel hat. grin

Cheaper.

SueDonim Tue 19-Jun-18 23:36:50

Hahaha! grin

Anniebach Wed 20-Jun-18 09:00:50

She is now being compared with Audrey Hepburn , not in looks, by choosing Givenchy to design her clothes.

annsixty Wed 20-Jun-18 09:19:26

Does she ever stop clinging to Harry? If she is not holding his hand/arm , she is touching his back.
In anyone else I would think it was insecurity, but she seems to have confidence in abundance.

Mapleleaf Wed 20-Jun-18 09:22:33

Poor Meghan. Seems she's damned if she does and damned if she doesn't. In some eyes, she'll never get it right, will she?
