What’s happened to Nigel’s hair? ( warning: this is shallow gossip)

Every time I see his smarmy smirky face I want to hit him and I m a peace lover and you know what I m not talking about him behind his back because I d totally say it to his face if I got the opportunity and you know what if I did he would smirk all the more and the arrogant sod wouldn’t worry in the least

It’s obviously because the photo is the wrong colour, because his face is very red too, so it’s not true to life.

peaseblossom, this is a light hearted thread, despite a few people being a bit po faced, but seriously? Farage has nobody's interest but his own at heart, wants what's best for himself, and will be disappearing off into the sunset to spend his huge EU pension without a backward glance to the UK, don't kid yourself. But, back to the thread; he puts himself out there, he is broad shouldered enough to take the laughs at his hair, and yes, I colour mine (not blonde), but I do not set myself up to tell others how to vote, do not lie, and would never get into a lift with Trump! And I sense an implied assumption that every one must hate him and that there's virtue to be signalled in lining up with the hate mob.

I will allow that he was very clever at manipulating the news and presenting himself as a good, plain speaking man of the people, standing in/outside pubs with a pint in his hand. But now he seems to have lost even that ability and is desperately trying to be another Trump. Just when you think he can't sink any lower.....

suzied, I enjoyed your "shallow gossip" op. I've also almost enjoyed the way the few Farrage fans have attempted to accuse the rest of us of mocking him simply because we don't like him.
I don't want to detract from shallow gossip but it's true. I don't like him, or his political views. IMO he's a self serving individual, as others have said, he's good at manipulating and presenting himself as a "man of the people". He's an ex banker with pots of money and an "interesting' private life. I wouldn't trust him as far as I could spit.
That isn't the reason I find his hair dye so surprising. He can afford to have his hair coloured by someone who knows what they're doing.
Alternatively, he can do what the lovely MawBroon has done and go gracefully silver.

Did you know that if you put lemon juice on your hair then sit out in the sun, it should go blond?

Or, if you are unfortunate, then a peculiar shade of greenish blond, as my DC found out when they were teenagers!

I saw someone today who had gone blonde (properly, not lemon juice blonde) from greyish-red and it took years off her.
