much as I detest this mans politics its his family who have been under attack here and thats not on.Its probably best they were away when it happened as none of us would want our children to be involved in this.

It wasn't at all clear from your post about when you thought this type of political hatred had migrated across the Atlantic. I think things will get a lot more violent. There have never been so many divisions in society and they run so deep.

I do feel sympathy for anyone who has had their home violated as JRM has, and I think it was a despicable thing to do, but still uncomfortable with the idea that this awful man with his ghastly views will be able to command sympathy from people. Hard to explain, but I used to find him mildly amusing, eccentric, a bit like Boris J, but now I find them both conniving, self promoting manipulators. Still wrong to vandalise his house though.
