Voted against same sex marriage in February and May 2013. He also voted against courts dealing with same sex divorces or annulments in March 2014. He also voted against making same sex marriage available to armed forces personnel serving abroad in March 2014.

Rees-Mogg has voted consistently to replace Trident with a new nuclear weaponry system. Rees-Mogg also voted against an investigation into the Iraq War in 2016. He has also voted for military action against Daesh three times between 2014 and 2015.
