How very offensive you are.

lemongrove Tue 16-Oct-18 18:53:51

You could write out The Red Flag song again oldbatty it may cheer you up.

lemongrove Tue 16-Oct-18 18:54:27

Because it’s happening Varian

oldbatty Tue 16-Oct-18 18:55:33

You are a bloody disgrace, mocking somebody and suggesting they need therapy.

GillT57 Tue 16-Oct-18 18:56:34

I am not fooled by the wink lemon, you are rude. As someone who has previously, after much heartsearching, admitted to suffering from depression, I find your comment about needing therapy offensive.

oldbatty Tue 16-Oct-18 19:02:53

Yes a very difficult and sensitive area and therefore not one to be mocked and belittled.

lemongrove Tue 16-Oct-18 19:02:55

Ridiculous outrage from you, the comment had nothing to do with depression as you well know.
As for you oldbatty you certainly say anything you like to other posters.

I am afraid that the Gransnet leavers are in many ways typical of leavers in general.

I will not attempt to describe their characteristics - they reveal themselves in all their arrogance and lack of understanding.

Eloethan Tue 16-Oct-18 19:05:18

lemongrove I think there are huge, and ever increasing, numbers of people who can't come to terms with leaving the EU. Perhaps the increasing concern is due to the fact that, although the leave team presented leaving the EU as a piece of cake, in fact it has turned into one almighty mess, with many public and commercial bodies predicting massive disruption in all sorts of areas. Perhaps it could be argued that some individuals and commercial enterprises are merely reflecting their own vested interests, rather than the interests of the country as a whole, but why would that be true of those working in public institutions like the NHS?

oldbatty Tue 16-Oct-18 19:05:59

Who are you to say whats ridiculous outrage? Do you run the show here?

lemongrove Tue 16-Oct-18 19:07:39

Varian your comments to those who voted Leave, have for the last two years been unbelievable.I fully expect you to be carrying on with it ( with a few others) for many years to come after we have left the EU next March.
This thread is a scaremongering excercise, pure and simple.

lemongrove Tue 16-Oct-18 19:09:18

What will they do next March then Eloethan ?
At some point, they have to come to terms with it.

varian Tue 16-Oct-18 19:13:34

Or possibly, lemon, you may have to come to terms with the fact that brexit was a nonsensical fantasy and the country rejected it just in time.

lemongrove Tue 16-Oct-18 19:23:46

I doubt that very much Varian though I can see that you have high hopes.

jura2 Tue 16-Oct-18 19:27:49

lemongrove, enough and reported. How do you know what goes on in people's lives and who is suffering from what?

'Sounds as if you cannot come to terms with leaving the EU
Gill....I wonder if there is therapy out there for that condition.wink'

this is just not acceptable, nasty and rude. Reported.

varian Tue 16-Oct-18 19:27:51

Sadly, I have to say lemon that I do not have high hopes, but , as they say, a week is a long time in politics.

lemongrove Tue 16-Oct-18 19:29:42

Ridiculous jura .....but you know that already.
You are simply jumping on the bandwagon.

Lazigirl Tue 16-Oct-18 19:38:20

EU nursing staff have been reassured lemongrove at 18:44. Sadly I fear the reassurance has come too late because more EU staff have left than joined since the Brexit vote and this has has apparently accelerated since 2017. My MP is a hard Brexiter but I, along with plenty of others still rattle his cage, so that he becomes less smug and complacent in his supposedly safe seat.

varian Tue 16-Oct-18 19:43:22

Good for you lazigirl

lemongrove Tue 16-Oct-18 19:44:13

It wouldn't matter what your MP feels ( pro or against Brexit) though lazygirl as he has to respect the referendum vote in Parliament.Free to have voted which way he pleased two years ago of course.

lemongrove Tue 16-Oct-18 19:46:13

Also lazygirl EU nurse places have gone down because the English language test got so much tougher.
Many were not good enough, in hospital language really matters.

GillT57 Tue 16-Oct-18 19:51:30

You are a piece of work lemon

jura2 Tue 16-Oct-18 19:54:45

The comedian Chris Addison mocked Ms Jenkyns’ bravado by offering a ‘translation’ of her tweet: “I would rather cause economic misery to my constituents and the rest of the country I profess to care for for at least a generation than admit a horrific error and salvage the situation. And I will talk about it in military terms to try to make it sound less like it’s my fault.

seems apt here too.

Never a debate, a discussion, no solutions whatsoever- just senseless ruthless attacks.

varian Tue 16-Oct-18 19:55:07

OK , there are some folk in this country who don't like immigrants, but please don't talk about the "will of the people"

lemongrove Tue 16-Oct-18 19:55:26

Which of the above two posts of mine do you disagree with Gill to prompt that comment?
No doubt because I disagree with you.
