From the Sunday Times.

Labour suspends official who blamed ‘all wars in the world’ on Jewish people

The Sunday Times

Mohammed Yasin pictured with leader Jeremy Corbyn

"A senior Labour Party official shared anti-semitic material blaming Jews for “all the wars in the world”."

"Labour’s West Midlands regional organiser, Mohammed Yasin, was suspended last night after The Sunday Times approached the party with a dossier of his activity on social media. Labour has launched an investigation."

"For more than two years Yasin, not to be confused with the Labour MP with a similar name, shared anti-semitic posts and 9/11 conspiracy theories, praised a homophobic preacher and described his former leader Tony Blair as a “child-killer”."

Labour's links with racism/antisemitism just won't go away. It really is time for the party to sort itself out.

I watched the programme about the family accused and convicted of the Birmingham pub bombings (they were innocent) I was disgusted by the behaviour of the Police and the judiciary, had I been older and Irish I would undoubtedly have considered joining the IRA. The British government cannot absolve itself from responsibility.

GrannyGravy13 Sat 22-Dec-18 18:53:17

My AC has been at the sharp end of Islamic State on more than one occasion.

They will always find armaments from whatever means they can.

GrannyGravy13 Sat 22-Dec-18 18:55:40

trisher your last post is really not very helpful to your claim to have "principles"

trisher Sat 22-Dec-18 18:56:16

Perhaps, but you won't be supporting Mrs May I hope, as you don't like people who are friends with terrorists.

Anniebach Sat 22-Dec-18 19:00:08

Realy ‘trisher’ you support violence ?. Treatment of the Birmingham Six was appalling , the killing of the 21 innocent people, injuries to 182 people and the grief caused was appalling, yet you would have joined the IRA!

GrannyGravy13 Sat 22-Dec-18 19:00:57

I think that the majority of the H of C are utterly useless and despicable at the moment trisher. I shall make my decision on my local MP, and their record on voting in the H of C and what is happening in my area.

trisher Sat 22-Dec-18 19:01:50

GG13 Did you see the programme? A whole family devastated. Teenage boys beaten up by police. Evidence which would have shown them innocent deliberately with held. It was harrowing to listen to even years later, the emotional effect must have been huge. It is what drives people to take radical actions.

lemongrove Sat 22-Dec-18 19:05:19

Good post Annie
trisher your laughable post about Mrs May being a friend of terrorists, dear oh dear.
You are confusing her with Corbyn the wreath layer.

Anniebach Sat 22-Dec-18 19:22:45

lemon let’s be fair to Corbyn, yes he was at the wreath laying ceremony but doesn’t think he was actually involved,
Well it was 4 years ago !

trisher Sat 22-Dec-18 19:35:55

No confusion lemon one talks to people who are trying desperately to build a state for a people displaced, robbed of land, kept prisoner and denied their human rights by a state which was founded with much the same methods as they have used.
The other welcomes and crawls to a dynasty where women just disappear, that has promoted an extreme version of Islam which most muslims reject, which arms fundamentalist terrorists and bombs children and families.
I know which is more morally acceptable.

oldbatty Sat 22-Dec-18 19:59:20

Your AC were at the sharp end of the so called Islamic State because they are in the forces. A choice, a career.

The people wrongly accused of the Birmingham bombing just happened to be in the area and have Irish accents.

Jalima1108 Sat 22-Dec-18 20:01:17

had I been older and Irish I would undoubtedly have considered joining the IRA.
The Birmingham pub bombings were in 1974.

I am surprised that you were not 18+ in 1974 trisher - sorry, you must be younger than I thought from some of your posts. Mental revision.

I am also astonished that a self-professed committed pacifist would have considered joining a group which bombed and killed innocent civilians.

Anniebach Sat 22-Dec-18 20:01:19

Those people in Birmingham just happened to be in a pub

Jalima1108 Sat 22-Dec-18 20:03:28

ps and killing innocent children. So, presumably, you would have been happy to have helped to kill the two young children in the Warrington bombings, one aged 12 and one aged 3.

I am appalled.
You have shown your true colours.
You are no pacifist.

GrannyGravy13 Sat 22-Dec-18 20:10:06

How many of the IRA are free and walking the streets, mocking the justice system?

Anniebach Sat 22-Dec-18 20:15:42

His tee shirt says it all

How many tens of thousands of people have been murdered by this county poking its nose into places it shouldn't?

GrannyGravy13 Sat 22-Dec-18 20:26:41

I would phrase that differently- how many tens of thousands of lives have been saved due to UK intervention?

petra Sat 22-Dec-18 20:41:15

Here here, GG13

Stop Press: You just couldn't make it up.

Yet ANOTHER Labour MP, Chris Williamson, a vociferous supporter of Jeremy Corbyn, has been branded a 'Jew Baiter' as he is embroiled in support of a musician known for his antisemitism, holocaust denial and hatred of Jews.

www.thejc.com/news/uk-news/chris-williamson-labour-mp-signs-petition-gilad-atzmon-blockheads-islington-council-1.474213

How many days go by without someone from Labour being exposed in this way?? It's dreadful.

This Labour MP has supported an anti-semite and then blustered he wasn't aware he was. Has Jeremy Corbyn written a guide to getting yourself off the hook? grin

In his rush to promote his right-on-ness, Williamson did no research. The lack of attention to detail isn't what you would expect from a group who want to run the country, is it?

Williamson, back pedalling like fury apologised. "Since then I've learned that Atzmon, a former Israeli soldier, is not confined to the jazz world. I am told that in various blogs and in speeches he has adopted antisemitic language^

I wasn't aware of this until after I tweeted the petition.

^As soon as I was informed, I deleted the tweet"

Antisemitism clings to the Labour party. It's disgraceful.

Is this an attempt to win the Islamic vote, maybe? hmm

Eh bah gum lass lighten up! It’s the early hours on Sunday 23rd December ....nearly Christmas.

Peace and good will to all men (and women) and all that. Try getting a good nights sleep and you’ll feel better in th’morming.

Anniebach Sun 23-Dec-18 10:01:25

Christmas is not a reason to protect anti semetics ,

Chewbacca Sun 23-Dec-18 10:19:09

Correct Anniebach. It's never a good time to sweep anti semitism under the carpet and as Christmas is all about Christ, King of the Jews, now would be the perfect time to stamp it out.

trisher Sun 23-Dec-18 10:59:24

No one is sweeping anti-semitism "under the carpet" but really it's pathetic, how some people try to blacken someone's name. Someone signs a petition to allow a band like the Blockheads to play without checking the credentials of the person playing with them, and they are labelled anti-semitic. I hate to bring it up but such behaviour typified fascist regimes where people were denounced by their children for failing to comply with the regime's regulations.

Day6 Sun 23-Dec-18 14:01:41

* trisher* - but really it's pathetic, how some people try to blacken someone's name.

You mean the national papers? The story is out there. Yet another Labour MP involved in an antisemitism gaffe.

They are giving themselves the bad publicity. How can you defend such stupid 'mistakes' by men who want power, in a Labour party with one racist scandal after another following it? Their hostility and discrimination towards Jews is shameful, and they bluster afterwards - after being found out - that they made 'mistakes'.

I'd have more respect for Labour supporters if they were concerned too.
