Let's face it, the Labour Party was established decades ag, alongside the Unions to represent the workers - or working class.
What exactly do they support today that other parties don't, apart from nationalisation? We have become more enlightened, society has changed and most parties have moved with the times. Human rights are important to all.
It would seem to me that Labour has had to reinvent itself and find a cause so the hard left has taken over, alienated a lot of moderate MPs and traditional Labour voters, but recruited the young with it's Marxist ideals and now stands for rebellion and the over-throwing of the establishment.
And Corbynites, please spare us the food banks, NHS and homeless people diatribes - causes to rant - because every politician would say those, alongside the environment, transport, education and housing are cause for concern.
Does the ordinary working man need Labour any longer? I say this, coming from a staunch Labour background. "Traditional Labour values" are held by all modern parties. I think the Conservative Party has now become the party fo common sense, thanks to Momentum hijacking Labour and turning it into the party for rebellion. It has become too scary and volatile and controlled (by the hard left) for many middle of the road working class voters, who want fairness and common sense to prevail.
Just what IS Labour about now???
