Perhaps the second vote could happen at the same time as the EU elections. If leave wins, no MEPs would be elected. If REMAIN wins, they would be (but just let's hope that doesn't include the fraudster Farage)

Yes, great news from Spain!
This just now in The Guardian (1st March)

The Spanish government has approved a series of unilateral contingency measures to protect the rights of Britons in Spain in the event of a no-deal Brexit.

The package, set out in a royal decree that will go before parliament, will cover employment, social security, healthcare and education, and is designed to minimise disruption if the UK crashes out of the EU.

The Spanish government estimates that there are at least 300,000 Britons officially registered as resident in Spain, and more than 150,000 Spaniards living in the UK.

Speaking following a cabinet meeting on Friday, the foreign minister, Josep Borrell, said he hoped the UK would reciprocate what he called an “extremely generous” plan.

“They exercised a right and it needs to be maintained and respected. We also have to preserve Spain’s normal trade flows and economic interests.”

Borrell said the legislation would also cover transport, customs and driving licences, and that the government was working to help the 9,000 people who cross into Gibraltar from Spain for work each day as well.

Amendment proposed by backbenchers would see party abstain on PM’s deal as long as it is put to a public vote

If we answer them back this thread will just disintegrate in another Brexit bashing/same old same. Nothing wrong with that at all - but there are already countless forums for debating and negativity. In fact, I do believe that this forum is the only GOOD NEWS one available!

I for one am going to ignore them & concentrate on putting out all the great news about leaving that I come across. We can just love bomb them.

I don't have good news to share, just want to say that I'm with you, Urmstongran. There has been nothing but negative prospects forecast, as though no-one has any faith in this country. Leaving the EU will be a fresh start for Britain, now we need a new government with a positive attitude, to get this country back on its feet.

Why do you keep saying MPs want to remain.in the EU? If that were the case we would be having a vote on facts as well.as the 2016 vote being declared null and void because of criminal activity.

The pound is coming back up because the threat of no deal seemed to be receding and there looks to be a strong possibility of an A50 extension. There's been nothing else to justify it. The markets are less impressed by cake and unicorns than you lot are.

Obviously the Brexit naysayers will want to post negatives on here but there are plenty of other forums where some Leavers might want to engage with them in debate (over and over!) but this lovely,uplifting forum is to share the GOOD NEWS for a change!

If we don’t engage on THIS forum they will leave us in peace (perhaps) to enjoy sharing the positive aspects we get to hear about Brexit.
