Misreading the country?

It seems to me from talking to others and just listening in on conversations on buses and in shops etc that there is an overwhelming feeling that Westminster should just get on with it! This isn't a brexit/remainer thread. It's just expressing concern that Westminster is in its own little mixed up bubble and is just ignoring the people they're supposed to represent ie the great British public.

Delay would just dig deeper hole of uncertainty.

And leaving with no deal would plunge us into chaos and economic catastrophe. Instead of the gradual decline of leaving with a deal (and, this Withdrawal Agreement isn't a 'deal', it's just an agreement on how we will leave; the 'deals' remain to be done) the whole lot just about falls apart all in one go.

We are not resigning from a golf club. It'll take years to sort this lot out.

no it would not total lies no deal is best and the only true Brexit... all this voting is non legal binding, so accept that

Day6 posts "There has to be an end to it and for that to happen, our elected body has to act in unison - for the good of the UK. "

It is about time that people start to understand that any kind of brexit could never be an "end to it". It would only be the beginning of years and years and years of wrangling, frustrated attempts at negotiating with the EU27 and the rest of the world to try to achieve the frictionless trade we now enjoy as long as the UK is a member of the EU.

I'm now more than cautiously optimistic, looking forward to the UK remaining in the EU on 30th March.

muffinthemoo Thu 14-Mar-19 19:35:36

It seems like the risperidone shortages have already begun

andycameron69 Thu 14-Mar-19 19:38:17

nonsense

Jalima1108 Thu 14-Mar-19 19:41:56

Following the sudden departure of two generic manufacturers there is an acute shortage of psychotropic medication within the UK. This supply shortage is expected to last a few months and is impacting on both the prices of medication and availability of medication forms that are available.
Drugs that are particularly affected are Olanzapine, Risperidone and Quetiapine and Haloperidol

That was from last year and nothing to do with Brexit.

andycameron69 Thu 14-Mar-19 19:42:29

and I feel a lettuce shortage soon, how will I cope

Bridgeit Thu 14-Mar-19 19:53:10

We are not, have not been Ruled by the EU we have been and are part of it, This argument that we are told what to do by the Eu & have gained no benifits / had no say in it is quite ridiculous.
As with everything in life we have to take the rough with the smooth, to pretend otherwise is like being an ostrich - head in sand bum in air .!

muffinthemoo Thu 14-Mar-19 19:54:03

oh Jalima consider my comment about risperidone as a reflection on the conduct of the thread

andycameron69 Thu 14-Mar-19 19:55:31

Bridgeit Thu 14-Mar-19 20:00:05

Andy ,perhaps it would be a good idea to look up the meaning of ‘a Poppet’you may find you have described yourself not as you meant, but certainly how others might agree with .

andycameron69 Thu 14-Mar-19 20:03:43

lol you are a scream

Jalima1108 Thu 14-Mar-19 20:05:12

oh Jalima consider my comment about risperidone as a reflection on the conduct of the thread
oh, OK, muffin.

I know there was a shortage (worldwide) of Epipens last year and several drugs were in short supply for different reasons.

andycameron69 Thu 14-Mar-19 20:07:30

there will be no plunging into the abyss and no cliff edge ,, end of

out we go

the majority voted out whoop whooop

piscarii Thu 14-Mar-19 20:08:52

It isn’t just our politicians you know - what about that lot in Europe? This mess we’re in isn’t entirely of our making is it? There are 2 sides in these so called ‘negotiations’, you know.
Maybe the way we are being treated by Brussels is part of the reason why more than half of voters wanted to leave?

Jalima1108 Thu 14-Mar-19 20:09:49

Got it muffin!

andycameron69 Thu 14-Mar-19 20:13:30
