Just joined GN and I thought this would be the place to ask. On the news today I heard them talking about getting rid of Mrs May and getting a “proper brexiteer”.
What’s one of those?

Farage launches himself again????

I expect he’s holed up in his London club. Very elite.

Further to the Farage post. People do click on the post underneath Farages picture. You are in for a treat?

May I wish everyone on GN

“Happy no- Brexit Day”??

Whitewave, are you a new kid on the block? You are going full on here.
Poor old Nige.

GabriellaG54 Fri 12-Apr-19 09:39:44

It's like a playground on here.
Two or three cliques of the same names covering each other's backs and piling on when it suits.
So childish and shameful.
Remainers trying their level best to push the benefits of the EU down the gullets of Leavers and ridiculing their stance.
All very distasteful.
I'm pleased that the Remainers here haven't stooped to that level.
Well...I'm leaving you to argue between yourselves as I'm not in the business of wanting to change anyone's mind.
Play nicely now .... ??

No I am one of the originals from 2011. I have had an extended break, as I was being drawn down into the sort of behaviour on line that I abhor. I feel entirely “free” of it now so hoping to keep my post civilised towards all other posters as I originally did.

You might have guessed that I have little sympathy for Farage. I see him as a total charlatan whose fingers apparently are in some very dodgy pies.
I think that political standards have hit the gutter big time, and feel we are better than that.

Urmstongran Fri 12-Apr-19 10:02:46

Nigel Farage is going full steam ahead with his new Brexit party. He kicks off today campaigning in Coventry. I for one (oops!) think he will do very well.

I was surprised to hear the former Tory minister, Ann Widdecombe, declare that, having campaigned for the Conservatives at every election since 1970, she would vote for his party in the European elections if they have the right candidates.

Party politics is about to get a good shake up. Not before time in my opinion.

Oh dear

www.thebrexitparty.com/

Who was a silly boy and forgot to register your web site?

This time you will be called out for every lie and stupid move you make Nige.

Lily65 Fri 12-Apr-19 10:15:16

I don't think you are in a position to take the moral high ground G. So rude and smug.

annodomini Fri 12-Apr-19 10:15:32

Welcome back, Whitewave. We clearly see eye-to-eye 0n the subject of the despicable Farage. hmm

Whitewavemark2 Fri 12-Apr-19 10:29:50

?anno

Ginny42 Fri 12-Apr-19 10:50:03

I also read that Boris is having talks with the DUP. Mmm! Now that is a strange alliance.

I presume that's a typo - Line 8 in your post @ 09.39?

Nonnie Fri 12-Apr-19 11:12:57

Gab yes, I agree some very childish posts and I would include some of your posts in that. None of us should talk as if we are superior to others, you are not and neither am I.

To downplay this as a 'blip' is either arrogant or lacking of understanding about the future for our country. You choose. If this is all so unimportant to you and those 'few pennies' don't matter to you why do you keep posting about it?

I am pretty sure whatever the outcome I will survive but then I am not living on the breadline as so many others are. I know where my next penny is coming from, I have assets but so many live hand to mouth. It is very smug to suggest that you are 'alright Jack'

Whitewavemark2 Fri 12-Apr-19 11:14:13

This is for Mr Farage, displayed outside his next relaunch. By curtesy of LED by Donkeys.

Labaik Fri 12-Apr-19 11:19:28

Why can't people see this man for what he really is?

Greta Fri 12-Apr-19 11:27:13

Nonnie: "I am pretty sure whatever the outcome I will survive but then I am not living on the breadline as so many others are.

This is exactly how I feel. I have always felt that we live in a very class-ridden society and it seems to be getting worse.
I think we just like to look down on others around us and feel superior just as we like to look down on anything 'foreign'.

Whitewavemark2 Fri 12-Apr-19 11:49:49

Another Charlatan

Marcus J Ball has tweeted. 11/04/19

“Boris Johnson has just been prosecuted by my legal team and I for allegedly lying to the public about U.K. spending on EU membership during the referendum.
We will go public with case developments, when the fort permits us to”

It shows that we have to question everything we are told as fact by these charlatans.

Whitewavemark2 Fri 12-Apr-19 11:50:16

fort = court

Whitewavemark2 Fri 12-Apr-19 12:09:26

The sort of language that breeds fear and hate from Farage.
Remember he is talking to those most gullible who take his words literally and may be encouraged to act them out.

“We are going to put the fear of God into our MPs”

We already having worried reaction from the MPs.

There is nothing moderate about Farage. How long is it since we have been witness to one violent death and threats of death to our MPs?

Fennel Fri 12-Apr-19 12:30:27

Someone brilliant has to come up with a completely new approach to break this deadlock. All there is at the moment is the same old mantras repeated over and over.
But Boris with the DUP? (*Ginny*). That's new, but Mrs. Foster will see through him before they start.

crystaltipps Fri 12-Apr-19 16:04:06

Yes I agree some very childish posts have been made especially those ones with numerous irrelevant lists and emojis.

CarlyD7 Fri 12-Apr-19 16:12:29

A "proper Brexiteer" is someone, in my opinion, who wants a hard Brexit (i.e. that we leave the EU without a deal). They keep saying "we'll be alright" because THEY will be alright, because they're usually people with a lot of money. Prime example is Nigel Farage who in 2017 said on LBC radio that if Brexit was a disaster he would "move abroad". Of course he can - having a German wife and millions of ££. Or maybe Jacob Rees-Mogg who has made millions out of the plunge in the value of the £ from his investment company (head office in Dublin). This is an interesting discussion!

crystaltipps Fri 12-Apr-19 16:36:58

Yes there is a lot of I’m alright jackery about.
