Surprise announcement from T May this evening.
She will have talks with Corbyn to break the deadlock !
This means that he will have to climb down from the comfy fence now.
If she and her team suggest adding a customs union to her deal, he would be hard pressed not to agree. That could be approved by Parliament.

He wasn’t humiliated - a prat like NS couldn’t humiliate him - he was instead furious which is the right response.

"He wasn’t humiliated"
Agreed , maryeliza.
I don't think anyone could humiliate John Prescott. grin

I would define a "blue collar" government as that headed by Clement Attlee in 1945.

That Labour party administration brought forward to Britain the NHS, the nationalisation of the Railways and other utility companies, a huge council house building program and much else.

That government contained figures such as Ernest Bevin as a senior minister, who never received any real education and worked as a Docker prior to entering the trades union movement and then politics.

Truly Britains greatest peacetime government in my humble opinion, which contained many people with real experience of blue-collar life.

Fennel the only person humiliated was NS - a man born with every conceivable unearned advantage in life who could not behave properly in the face of someone who actually worked for and earned his own way in life
