For all the bluster about democracy - the Brexit party is undemocratic deliberately- UKIP was driven by factions with some horrible people gaining positions. Farage is astute enough to realise this was a stick he could be beaten with, so he’s made himself the supreme leader/ emperor of the BP with no chance of getting removed and surrounded himself with newsworthy numpties who won’t challenge his position. Those who are wetting themselves with excitement every time he twitches an eyebrow are of a predictable certain age/ background / location. He’ll get the angry mob support but it will all end in tears.

I know that many of us, however closely we are following the brexit saga, would not claim to be experts. We'd admit that there are manoeuvres and nuances we don't completely grasp.

However, when faced with blatant lies and dishonesty we all can recognise such actions.

Why then are people who are ostensibly normal law-abiding citizens unwilling to face NF's
fraudulent activities?

In a different non -political context he'd be outed as a criminal, so has brexit blinded some of us to the truth which in normal circumstances would be crystal clear?

It isn't or shouldn't be right to answer that question by simply redistributing blame and fault.

Varian thanks but I had already seen that and it didn't explain what to do at the actual ballot. The piece I read said that you number the candidates in order of preference but I have now found another site which tells more. I now understand that we go into the booth, choose a party and then choose our preferred order of candidates withing that party, or not.

I am not at all ashamed of asking for help for something I don't understand, why would I be? We all have ignorance on some subjects and it is better to be open minded about it than pretend we understand when we don't.

NF can certainly talk the talk, but if he had to walk the walk, I fear he would be sadly lacking in direction, durability, flexibility, integrity, accountability etc.
Perhaps he really is a sincere politician who wants to do right by the electorate, but to me he is a big ego who plays to the crowd, takes the applause but can’t, & won’t achieve any meaningful change or improvements to people’s lives.

Am I right in thinking that NF stood for parliament 3 times and each time was outvoted?

Guy Verhofstadt is filmed saying that the EU want to eradicate populism and nationalism and that they (EU) intend to punish the U.K. so that no other Country will ever try to leave the EU again!!!! (I do not post links but it is easily found on twitter and other social media sites)

He was also out campaigning with the Liberal Democrats when they launched their MEP election campaign (front of Lib Dem leaflets "Bollox to Brexit - very grown up?).

This goes against EU rules and regs - no country/EU member/MEP shall interfere or try to influence another member states elections!

This is an EU election, not a Westminster election and so Guy Verhofstadt, leader of Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe group in the European Parliament has every right to endorse the Liberal Democrats, a longstanding member party of his group.

It is interesting that former MEP for the South West, Julie Girling, who was thrown out of the Conservative Party for being a Remainer, has advised voters in the South West to vote LibDem. Some had expected her to support the chukkas but she has made it clear that the LibDems are the strongest Remain Party and she will be supporting them.

Can I just mention that the EU election voting form only allows you to vote for one party. Although the party candidates are listed, you don't vote for any of them specifically. (I've just completed my postal ballot form).
