Tartlet I explained that in my post earlier today. You vote for the party and can then number which candidate you prefer, if you wish to.
Television presenters you really like
Is democracy being by-passed in favour of the billionaires?
Higher proportion of UK voters say they would vote in EU election than turned out in the 2014 election!!!
news.sky.com/story/european-parliament-elections-a-quarter-of-public-would-boycott-poll-11685011
In 2014 very few voters were concerned about our membership of the EU. Thanks to Farage and the leave campaign liars we are now all much more aware of the issue. If leave voters want to boycott the EU elections. so be it.
Tartlet I explained that in my post earlier today. You vote for the party and can then number which candidate you prefer, if you wish to.
I cannot imagine any reasonable person voting for a party led by NF. If I were a strong leaver I still wouldn't vote for such an obnoxious person, I would vote Conservative because they keep saying we will leave and they are the biggest party. NF failed to get into our parliament but wants the power of a PM.
Too simplistic Nonnie I’m afraid you don’t get it.
Urmston no need to put me down, especially as you have accused others of doing that to you. Just because you don't agree with me there is no need to imply I am too stupid to 'get it'. My stance is a moral one, what's yours?
Doesn't every leader of every party aim to run the country? Corbyn has sat on the fence, denying long held principles because he sniffs power. His reputation is shot to pieces as well regarding the people he chooses to call 'friends'.
I couldn't vote for Labour while Corbyn is in charge. May has finished off the Conservative Party for the time being. The Leave negotiator wanted to remain in the EU all along. The Lib Dems may have to become the Remain party to get a chance of power......It is all one mighty mess and as I have said before, people are now politically homeless. Farage knows the mood of those who feel democracy has failed them,
If we wanted a 'nice' PM, who would we choose? We'd all struggle. They all have their flaws. Farage is fighting for Brexit, so he'd get my vote.
Popped to the CO-OP for the tenna pants as advised by GN and then posted our EU postal votes.
All we can do now is watch and wait
Don’t put words in my mouth Nonnie. I’m not getting g at you, just responding to your viewpoint. ‘Simplistic’ is not saying ‘stupid’.
I’m not a rude person.
Day6 my comment was because he couldn't get himself elected as an MP. I think you know that JC has managed to do that several times.
Urmston 'simplistic' implies that my view is simple, how else can that be interpreted? Simple is used as a euphemism for stupid.
I ask again what is your stance? I have explained mine.
I’ll be voting for the Brexit party.
Nonnie, I suppose you can write whatever you like on your ballot form but the only official mark is the one against your chosen party. It serves no purpose to rank the candidates because no one will take any notice of it. The ranking list is for information only and used in the seat allocation process.
It’s late Nonnie and I’m tired.
I truly do not mean to be disrespectful but my answer to you will be short and yet sweet.
?
Nigel Farage is so very popular with his Brexit Party precisely because of what it promises on the tin.
To get us out of the EU.
We will of course still be part of Europe - many of us have homes there, holidays there and family or friends there.
The idea of the Conservatives delivering on their referendum and then their manifesto at the last GE (as you suggested - vote for them as they will deliver Brexit - not Nigel Farage) is quite frankly a joke. They have made a complete dog’s dinner of the negotiations because deep down (whisper this) they don’t really want to deliver it. With a minority of exceptions in their party of course - the so-called ‘hard Brexiteers’.
What a joke that term is to describe people who want to honour the result of the referendum!
They have had 3 long years. Enough!
Anyway the nuance of the situation seemed to have escaped your comprehension. No matter. Remainers are quite sanguine about this logjam. As long as it lasts “we are still in, there is hope yet” etc.
But now Upwards and bluddy onwards at last....
We have Nigel Farage and the Brexit Party!!
??
And to back up my opinion, I’ve just read this latest news reported in the Graun (a Remainer newspaper):
“The Opinium survey for the Observer places the Brexit party on 34%, when people were asked how they intended to vote on 23 May, with Labour slipping to 21% and the Conservatives collapsing to just 11%.
Ominously for Theresa May, support for the Tories at the European elections is now less than a third of that for Farage’s party, and below that for the Liberal Democrats, who are on 12%.
The poll suggests the Brexit party, launched only last month, is now on course for a thumping victory that Farage will, MPs fear, use to back his argument that the UK must leave the EU immediately without a deal.”
Well said Urmston
We don't have an 'applause' emoticon, but if we did, it would be here.
Have a glass of wine instead.
I shall raise mine to the Brexit Party and Leavers everywhere.
Such a backwards step for this country, I understand we have frustrations with the whole EU,Brexit issues , but Nigel Farage is definitely NOT the answer .
Why not? Because you dislike him?
Is May the answer? No.
Corbyn? No
Cable? No
We are fast running out of 'electables' , aren't we?
I don’t know what you mean jura2. What WTO elections?
Of all the options available IMO ,NF is THE most dangerous
I cannot dislike him or like him in the simplistic way you suggest , but I do and can abhor everything he is & stands for , duplicates, hypercritical & self serving . Not attributes I admire.
Remainers might be interested in the new website launched by Gina Miller to encourage tactical voting to try to limit the number of seats won by Farage’s lot. In England, the message is vote Lib Dem.
Leavers might also be interested in the current projections it has for seats likely to be won by each party.

duplicates,(sic) hypercritical & self serving . Not attributes I admire
You mean like that lot at Westminster - our present parliament?
Those hypocritical, self-serving and duplicitous MPs who have tried at every turn to thwart democracy have given rise to a party which will take in all those (millions) who now feel utterly betrayed by whichever party they voted for at the last GE.
This is about more than Brexit.
It is about shaking up a political system which no longer works and kicking out the MPs who no longer hear or care about the people who voted them to power.
Our own parliament has been caught short by someone prepared to create a vehicle for that large-scale discontent - whether you like it or not.
Apologies for spelling error
Do you seriously believe NF is not ?
My postal vote has arrived with 9 choices, I voted to leave the EU so I'm debating whether to go against my principles and throw it in the recycle bin.
So here's my question - If I vote for the Brexit Party to sit in a European Elected Union, what changes to May's current deal does Nigel Farage hope to achieve?
I've voted tactically in the EU election. Should there be a GE, I will vote differently.
I would never vote for NF. I don't trust his connections with DT and Bannon. He hasn't said how he hopes to achieve his aims Wobbles and people who worship him don't appear to need to know.
I cannot see where the Brexit party is going to be after we leave, if indeed we do. It's not even a party is it? It's a club. It has a single issue, then what?
I guess Brexit party MEPs are planning on going to Brussels and behave like Farage, being rude and disruptive, insulting the MEPs from other nations and causing chaos.
Thank you Ginny45, that's my thoughts exactly about voting for the Brexit Party.
May I repeat an earlier question in the hope of having a serious, rational reply?
Why is it that ostensibly normal, law-abiding citizens are willing to turn a blind eye to NF's
dishonest activities?
Does his stand on Europe negate everything else?
Is it a scenario where the end justifies the means?
