I really hope not.

I’m sorry Trump will visit you and again I’m sure, embarrass our country. He separated children at the border and no one knows or documented which child belong to whom. We have another border with Canada that is longer and less secure but he only wants to stop people fleeing from crime in their country.
He has stopped regulations in industry and it’s horrible for the climate.
We of the middle class all paid higher taxes this year so the 1% could keep their money. The economy is good because Obama bailed out the banks . The good economy started before Trump was elected. He asked his people to lie for him and now there is talk of impeachment. Our healthcare stinks, he has made the deficit the largest ever in our country( in the trillions) He has made it okay to hate and bully and won’t put down the hate groups. His Easter speech to children was about HIM and politics. He is a disgusting man who cares only about his narcisstic self. I could go on and on but have taken up enough space here. Luckily the queen will have him here Ashley time. We are stuck another year and a half.

The Queen should not have to do this unpleasant duty at her age. She is a most dutiful woman!

A truly devious man who is hated as much by my American friend and her husband as by me . They could not believe how he was voted President. They have to live in that country with such a terrible person ‘in charge’ Our Queen has to put up with entertaining him . There is no comparison between them. I really feel for her, but no doubt she will remain calm about it,,at least in public.

I honestly don’t think we should protest at his visit. But that’s just my opinion.

I am in such a bad temper over him coming to Portsmouth since my 94 year old father-in-law is coming especially for June 5th events and now it will be ruined!

Urm I guess quite a lot on here think he will be re-elected. Wishing he wouldn’t is another thing altogether or believing that he deserves to. The only good thing is the two term rule

I’m with the few on here who think Trump will get re-elected in 2020. (next year! How did that come around so fast?)

We may just have to get used to his popularity in the USA.

Call I’m sure the D Day ceremonies will not be disrupted - for one thing the people present will all be by invite only I’m sure. Also some of the protests like last time will not be held where he actually is physically.

There is a problem here, though, if he is attending a commemoration of the D Day Landings - whilst people may want to show their contempt of Trump, I am sure no-one would want American veterans and their descendants to think that any demonstrations are anti-American and anti the sacrifice so many of them made for us all those years ago.

I expect Prince Charles will find another and very urgent appointment.
Or he may just speak up by giving a speech about climate change, world pollution etc.

Unfortunately, he is coming here as the POTUS even if many of us think he is not fit to hold that office.

If I could be bothered, there’s a lot that could be said about that list as to the veracity, whether the actions are positives or negatives etc etc. And it’s certainly not an objective fact based balanced account of his presidency.
