The simple fact is that the Labour Party/Movement policy on Brexit was set by the annual delegate conference in September of last year. As so often stated on this forum, that policy is "to seek as first priority a General Election, and should that not prove possible, to seek a second referendum."
As the months have progressed since the above policy was set by those lay delegates from all sections on British commerce, industry and society, that "seek a General Election first" has proven to be the most positive method of solving this Tory created Brexit shambles. In that, even in Tory Ranks, it is now being accepted that a General Election may be inevitable in solving this crisis.
Of course in the parliamentary Labour Party, there are those that cannot accept that such" low born grassroots Lay activists" at that conference had the foresight to visualise such a policy and outcome, in the face of "their betters" who make up the MPs of the Parliamentary Labour Party."
However, the usual crowd of old Blairites MPs who have never accepted the overwhelming election of Jeremy Corbyn, also cannot even accept the democracy of the Labour Movement Annual Delegate Conference as being the supreme body in setting all Labour policies. Therefore they have continually spread confusion, put forward their own alternative policies to the right wing press and caused maximum disruption in the Parliamentary Party at every turn.
The Broader Labour movement in the country has however remained resolutely behind the conference decision and with the passage of time that has proven to be correct.
The above demonstrates that those who have continually carried out the above undemocratic and disruptive actions have to be removed from the positions they hold in the party. I believe that the disgusting behaviour and actions of Tom Watson and others over the last few days brings that "Sort Out" very much nearer, or even the possibility of the Broader Labour Movement " ditching the parliamentary Labour Party and forming a new Socialist Party from within their organisations.
Without doubt, such is the depth of feeling among grassroots lay activists in the movement at present that the above is a very distinct possibility I feel.
