The epitome of cocky I was frankly disgusted by his behaviour outside Leeds Crown Court.
He is an obnoxious individual who seems to think he is above the law.
Beneath contempt more like.

Whitewavemark2 Mon 08-Jul-19 16:17:31

Ok

Let’s look at his total criminal record.

2005 assault - 12 months

2011 threatening, abusive and insulting behaviour. - 12 months rehab. 150 hours labour

2011 common assault- 12 months jail susp. 12 months.

2013 possession of false identity with intention of improper use. 10 months prison.

2013 two counts of mortgage fraud - 10 months jail

2017- contempt - 3 months susp. 18 months

I can if you wish go into greater detail. Things like his various racist comments etc. But I’m not sure regurgitating foul racist comments gets us anywhere.

‘Tommy Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, 36, is a right-wing political activist from Luton, Bedfordshire.

His mother was an Irish immigrant who worked as a baker while his adoptive father worked at a local Vauxhall car plant.

He told the Telegraph in 2013: "Everyone in Luton is the son of immigrants. Whether it be Irish, West Indian, Ghanaian, everyone I know.”

Despite performing well academically at school, Robinson repeatedly found himself in trouble as a teenager, citing fights with "Muslim gangs" as one of the reasons for his "problems" as a youth.

Robinson is the former leader of the English Defence League (EDL), a far-right street protest movement.

The group – which the former British National Party (BNP) member co-founded in 2009 – are opposed to the spread of “militant Islam”.

He also has a criminal record with convictions for a number of offences, including football-related violence, trying to travel on false documents and a protest against Fifa’s decision to stop the England football team wearing poppies on their shirts.

He has been to prison on multiple occasions including in 2014 for mortgage fraud.

After studying aircraft engineering for five years, Robinson lost his job at Luton Airport in 2003 after punching an off-duty police officer during a drunken row’.

Just a regular sort of guy, really...

Thanks, Joelsnan

Eloethan Mon 08-Jul-19 16:34:39

joelsnan Your post at 16.08 was unclear. Were you saying the more British MPs have a worse criminal record than Robinson? If so, and having reseached TR's history yourself, do you stand by that?

Lessismore Mon 08-Jul-19 16:51:36

Two phrases I dislike " play the race card" and " virtue signaling"

Joelsnan Mon 08-Jul-19 16:53:26

Eloethan
There are politicians current and former with criminal records for perverting the course of justice, fraud, theft, paedophilia just for starters.
I am not minimising TRs record, he obviously has anger management issues to say the least. Just does it warrant the vitriol? Jeopardising the outcome of a grooming gang trial was stupid but was it vile?
I know he does travel the country and stands outside courts where Pakistani grooming gangs are tried and does shout abuse at them, is that vile?
He appears to have friends and acquaintances of other ethnic backgrounds is he a vile racist?

Joelsnan Mon 08-Jul-19 16:54:48

Lessismore
I dislike them too...shame they have to be used.

Are you attributing the above comment to me?
If so please show where I have said this.

You demonstrate perfectly how false information and attributions can, without firm justification be maliciously attached.

Lessismore Mon 08-Jul-19 17:05:48

JN, there was no need to use them. What do they actually mean?

Blondiescot Mon 08-Jul-19 17:19:22

I can't believe you felt the need to drag Lee Rigby's name into this - Lyn Rigby and her family have repeatedly spoken of their disgust at having their son's horrific murder hijacked by SYL and his "supporters" for their own ends.

Whitewavemark2 Mon 08-Jul-19 17:28:20

joelsnan can I ask. Do you support SYL? Only I can’t quite understand what you are saying?

EllanVannin Mon 08-Jul-19 17:30:27

So--------I've been reported AGAIN !! For what ??

I can see far worse than what I wrote about.I'm annoyed !!

Whitewavemark2 Mon 08-Jul-19 17:32:18

After reading his biography how can anyone even begin to defend his actions?

He’s been banned from you tube, twitter and Facebook, Amazon refuse to sell his self published books because of their incendiary content.

Whitewavemark2 Mon 08-Jul-19 17:33:21

ev ??what have you said? I must have a look.

MaizieD Mon 08-Jul-19 17:37:04

If so please show where I have said this.

Had I been attributing the comment to anyone, Joelsnan, I would have italicised it, as I always do (unless I muck up the formatting). I would have thought you'd know that by now, we've exchanged thoughts often enough...

Anger management problems, eh?

hmm

2013 possession of false identity with intention of improper use. 10 months prison.

2013 two counts of mortgage fraud - 10 months jail

EllanVannin Mon 08-Jul-19 17:37:39

If anything I post is misconstrued then it's not my fault, but the fault of those who wish to see something that isn't there !

joannapiano Mon 08-Jul-19 17:37:42

Our Son in Law is currently having treatment for cancer at Bart’s Hospital. He said that this awful man and his supporters had completely blocked the roads around the hospital last week, the criminal courts are just around the corner. A lot of the patients’ transport was delayed.

Eloethan Mon 08-Jul-19 18:00:13

joelsnan TR has been convicted of a variety of crimes on seven occasions, and has twice spent time in prison. I don't think any MP has that sort of record.

Joelsnan Mon 08-Jul-19 18:13:35

No I do not support SYL.
But what I have seen on here is prejudice that needs challenging.
There are comments made without substance.
There are those racist warriors who need to look at their own objectives, who are they supposedly protecting and why?
There are those who express disdain just because others do without understanding why they should.
There are those who only consider their opinions correct and cannot accept challenge.
If you look at at this thread from an analytical perspective there are many prejudices being displayed here.
Why do others find SYL vile?
Is it his criminal record?
Is it his stand against extreme Islam?
Is it his aggressive trait.?
Is it because he stands outside courts?
Is it because it makes you feel part of the crowd who also thinks he is vile because that makes you feel safe?

I find it interesting that just because I challenge some of the prejudices on this thread I am almost immediately referenced as racist and far right. This most evidently reveals some of the prejudicial states above.

Lessismore Mon 08-Jul-19 18:15:48

I find him vile because his stupidity nearly meant that abused women/girls would be once more let down.

Joelsnan Mon 08-Jul-19 18:21:01

Eloethan
But some have committed graver crimes.
However, yes he is a crim.

Joelsnan Mon 08-Jul-19 18:24:27

Lessismore
But that incident was only recently. He has been considered vile for quite a while.
Is stupidity a reason to be considered vile?

jura2 Mon 08-Jul-19 18:27:47

Because he quite simply, is.

Whitewavemark2 Mon 08-Jul-19 18:28:14

I think his rhetoric of hate and abuse does it for me.

Lessismore Mon 08-Jul-19 18:29:37

Forget it JN, I'm not playing. The actions of that man nearly ruined the work of many honourable people and almost resulted in more betrayal for the victims.

Surely that is enough ?
