Anyone have good news to share about the U.K.? ??

It's it's striking just how much of "Project Fear" is now coming true. Noticeable the pound is dropping too. Why? Because there isn't a mainstream economist on the planet who thinks we can get through a no-deal Brexit without a shock to the economy. Up 'till now, they have hovered but seeing the gathering of the no-deal clouds the markets are preparing. There is talk about the pound falling to parity with the dollar which would be brutal, even the optimists are talking about a straight-line drop to £1.15/1.10

And the good news? Well obviously this is all because they are experts so the 'Leave Without a Deal' group will always know better than they do and the are also an unpatriotic lot for not doing as they are told by the LADs and being optimistic

We are today down 60% of pension income since we moved.

Not asking for sympathy- but stating facts. How many GN members would feel comfortable/survive on minus 60% of current income? Oh and just got another 1800CHF bill for one night in hospital and a 20 min op- so 8800.

Very good news for some employers. Some in Johnson’s government are pushing for workers rights to be scrapped.

What good news for all those hard pressed businesses.

Positive

The U.K. has fantastic history that attracts a lot of tourists mainly in London.

We have a reputation for being tolerant and multi cultural.

Negatives

The cost to get into our historical attractions is on the whole
prohibitive.

Public funding is in the toilet, thousands of children and young people with SEND are having their futures destroyed due to lack of support.

Social care funding is also on a show string condemning children and young people to miserable low social mobility. That’s ok though because we always need an underclass to sneer at.

Social mobility is stagnant and the use of food banks has never been higher.

Farmers/fishermen will need to have their EU subsidies replaced.

Companies will have increased import and export costs. Vauxhall have said in the event of a no deal Brexit production will be moved to the EU.

Steel in wales has collapsed.

Most of the country still struggles to get a good internet connection. In Liverpool the fibre broadband has been paid for by the U.K.

We don’t have the infrastructure to cope with 2 days of high temperatures.

The United Nations has issued a report slamming the U.K. on poverty.

The pound is in the toilet

Good news - we will probably have very cheap lamb for a very short period after we leave as the tariffs on our products going into the EU decimate the farming community.

Bad news - as the farmers go out of business over the first two years costs will rocket. Some farms will survive and find new markets but unless huge subsidies are found, from our already stretched economy there will be very, very few after the two years the optimists expect it to take for them to find new markets.

Good news - fresh food will always be available for the very rich as the wealth galleries.

Farmers Weekly reporting that Welsh beef and lamb production will decline by 92% after 31 October.

The Good news

Johnson is to visit Wales and tell the farmers that he backs them.

If no deal Brexit was going to be so great why do we need a £100m advertising propaganda campaign to persuade us? Meanwhile we have thousands of homeless on the streets, struggling schools, hospitals which all could have done some good with that money.
Rees Mogg is chortling that we can cut environmental and welfare standards.
No this is not project fear and it’s happening now. No one has won we are all losers.
