I sincerely hope you are wrong about medical supplies WWM2 I will be due to start radiotherapy on 1st November - scary at the best of times but made much worse by all this uncertainty. My DH is insulin dependent diabetic so hope that is not affected. It is fine for all those who are healthy but what about those who are not?

I read Guardian For the left wing bias and the Mail for the right wing bias and generally find the middle road. And then I do the serious thought - how about you?

I guess some of us don't understand what those sincerely held beliefs are when those beliefs seem to be ruining the country and causing hardship for a lot of people. And there is never any clarification when we ask for solutions to the problems that Brexit is causing. I, personally cannot accept something that, imo is ruining this country and ruining my childrens future. Plus the fact that most of the people who were the instigators of Brexit appear to be downright corrupt...

I read the "i" (which, along with its parent "Ihe Independent "was found to be the most balanced of all our national newspapers in 2016) six days a week. I also read "The Times" two or three times a week and I often read The Daily Mail and The Guardian online.

I think it is important to access a variety of sources of news and opinion, which I do online, reading everything from Guido Fawkes to LibDem Voice to Skawkbox.

There are 24 hours in the day *Callistemon" I probably spend an average about one hour a day trying to keep abreast of the news. I agree it may well be a waste of time.

And as I have a busy, happy, retired life I only have time to read one of each (for balance - you won’t understand) the rest of the time I play catch up with t’internet but am not not obsessed. Happy to learn from all you experts.......

I'm not envious of Urmston having a holiday home, if that's what you mean. I'm just puzzled that someone in that position doesn't have ex pat friends who live local to her that are struggling with Brexit [pensions/worries about health care etc]. I know someone who lives in Portugal that finds Brexit very worrying. Another friend who lives in France needs to move back to the UK but can't now afford a property here.

Labaik. I know of a few ex pats in Spain who cannot return to the UK because they sold their English homes years ago to finance 'the dream'. They went out to the sun but got fed up with it and missed family. Still, they have a nice place by the sea and lots of sunshine.

It's not that simple. It's better to look see which newspaper proprietor stands to gain from his bias.

You’re right Alexa which is why I explained in my later post that I have limited time to devote to newspapers per se.

I do delve into internet news, you tube etc and more importantly I ask friends/family who have different views to explain anything I’m not sure about.

All the above give me a balanced view on most subjects.....

I always view jealousy as a very sad emotion. I genuinely feel sorry for people who 'suffer' with it.
This emotion is also very bad for their health as it causes the stress hormone Cortisol to rise.
