Is Harry less popular now?

Reading on the BBC News page that Harry is less popular since booking up with Megan. I thought I liked Megan and that she would be a calming influence but now I think she’s influencing him to a ridiculous degree and they are both behaving like Hollywood divas. What are your thoughts?

I didn’t have a husband who had an affair but if I had I hope I
wouldn’t have inflicted the same pain on other women.

I would like Harry and Meghan a lot more if they both went out and got full time jobs. I am in favour of the monarchy, in general, but only the direct heirs being on the public purse... so that's Charles, William and George.

Anniebach Tue 13-Aug-19 19:19:03

It’s difficult for the Windsors to have full time jobs apart from the armed forces . What could they do ?

Day6 Tue 13-Aug-19 19:22:51

It takes two to tango Annie. The husbands in deceitful affairs know what they are doing too.

SirChenjin Tue 13-Aug-19 19:29:02

Harry and Meghan could have full time jobs - his cousins do

Anniebach Tue 13-Aug-19 19:29:37

I am not defending men having affairs, but I do wonder why Diana is excused from her many affairs but Camilla who was married to a serial adulterer is condemned for doing the very same but one affair

Anniebach Tue 13-Aug-19 19:31:08

What jobs SirChenjin ? Which cousins ?

SirChenjin Tue 13-Aug-19 19:37:59

Peter, Zara, Beatrice, Eugenie. A mixed bag, granted, but they do have a range of jobs that don’t involve private jets, environmental conferences and sanctimonious preaching

Anniebach Tue 13-Aug-19 19:48:24

Zara and her husband make their money by sponsorship. And Zara and her brother are 15th and 16th in line to the throne.

merlotgran Tue 13-Aug-19 19:52:20

Harry doesn't appear to be doing anything.

SirChenjin Tue 13-Aug-19 19:56:06

Zara makes her money through sponsorship in various sports related things, yes. Beatrice and Eugenia have their own careers, as does Peter. As Merlot says - Harry is doing very little. If he wanted to have a full time job there would be nothing stopping him - the grandchildren of other monarchs across the world manage it perfectly well

Barmeyoldbat Tue 13-Aug-19 19:57:16

Yes well said Day6 and SirC...

Anniebach Tue 13-Aug-19 20:05:29

I agree Merlot , but if did start sponsoring firms and being son of the heir to the throne it would cause rather a lot of company directors to be rather miffed .

Camilla had an affair with a man she didn't marry even though before her marriage, she was romantically involved with him.

Charles had an affair with the mother of his God child. He wore the cuff links she gave him, with interwined 'C's' on his honeymoon.

He married what he perceived was a wallflower. His demeanor changed when at public engagements she appeared to be more popular than he was.

Diana did some wonderful things during her life time. She broke down the barriers and myths surrounding AIDS. She high lighted the ongoing dangers of land mines. The area she walked all those years ago is now unrecognisable.

Was she perfect; no. Is Charles; no. Are any of us?

Anniebach Tue 13-Aug-19 20:20:22

Those cufflinks have never been seen , not one photographer has ever managed to snap them. Only one person saw them allegedly.

Is a relationship between to single people an affair ? I had quite a few affairs then.

Sparklefizz Tue 13-Aug-19 20:44:29

Annie Here they are: www.pinterest.co.uk/pin/568157309215086343/

Smileless2012 Tue 13-Aug-19 20:45:49

I didn't say when they were both single if was an affair Annie I merely pointed out that they were in a relationship, married someone else and while married embarked on an affair with one another.

Anniebach Tue 13-Aug-19 20:58:36

Smiless a cufflink with the wearers initial C and a crown , unless my eyesight is getting worse

Who was the man you say Camilla had an affair with who she didn’t marry ?

And if I may ? Charles said ‘what ever in love means’, the royals never spoke of emotions and the question ‘ and in love’
must have thrown him.

I agree there was an affair but I question much which has only
come from Diana , never witnesses .

I thought Zara Tindall worked as a horse physio-therapist, or something of the sort.

Back to Prince Harry. He's looking thoroughly fed-up these days, he's bored. Now that the novelty of marrying a woman so many disapproved of, and having a sprog...he needs to find something to occupy him. Some excuse to go back to his action man days.

growstuff Tue 13-Aug-19 22:17:54

Are you his counsellor, RosieLeah?

Who disapproved of Meghan? I don't suppose it was anything to do with her being a non-white immigrant. Surely not!

SirChenjin Tue 13-Aug-19 22:28:27

She was the right religion though, so every cloud and all that...

Anniebach Tue 13-Aug-19 22:29:20

I wondered how long it would be before someone played the race card

growstuff Tue 13-Aug-19 22:35:00

You should follow some of the threads on Twitter, Anniebach. People don't just play the race card - they use it with a vengeance. I even read that people thought Meghan didn't stand on the steps of the maternity hospital after giving birth because the baby was black.

You seem to spend quite a bit of time reading up on royal family gossip. Maybe you could spread your wings a bit and see what kind of vile abuse Meghan is getting in other sectors of social media.

Anniebach Tue 13-Aug-19 22:44:42

growsruff I don’t do gossip. Maybe you should spread your wings and read something which doesn’t belong in the sewers, Twitter.

Minniemoo Tue 13-Aug-19 22:54:27

Twitter is an abomination and I look forward to its demise. And why anyone 'famous' is on there, I'll never know.

I would imagine that Meghan isn't one for reading up on what idiots who use Twitter have to say abut her.
