The papers are abuzz with speculation that there is to be one called this week! Here we go again...........

SirChenjin Mon 02-Sept-19 19:18:50

Then let’s hope that all of you who ignore the polls are right to do so smile

lemongrove Mon 02-Sept-19 19:20:23

Does that mean you are ignoring the poll that says Labour is nowhere in the polls? ?

petra Mon 02-Sept-19 19:21:16

I think I want Boris's babies.

SirChenjin Mon 02-Sept-19 19:23:29

Oh dear.

You'd never cope with all that hair petragrin.

Labaik Mon 02-Sept-19 19:39:09

Seems to me that all he said in his speech was that if everything went pear shaped it would be everyone's fault but his and then went on to promise money for the NHS, Police etc that had got nothing to do with us being either in or out of the EU....

varian Mon 02-Sept-19 19:43:19

There you go predicting the future again UG

petra Mon 02-Sept-19 19:46:03

Smileless
I'd get him a hairnet. Now I've got an image that I can't get rid of. ?

EnglishRose Mon 02-Sept-19 19:56:14

Petra ???. I’ll share him with you if he brings this off ?

Daisymae Mon 02-Sept-19 21:52:50

Well the Johnson's words sounded like a manifesto to me. I guess they must think that we have all forgotten that they are the ones who have decimated the NHS, schools, police etc. So Oct 14th is on the cards!

Urmstongran Mon 02-Sept-19 21:57:47

Again, thank you Boosgran!
??

Urmstongran Mon 02-Sept-19 22:00:01

Love your comment petra!!
??
Oh it’s nice to enjoy a little humour on these Brexit sites.

Barmeyoldbat Mon 02-Sept-19 22:20:26

Yes there is humour on this site, it comes from all you leavers thinking its all over.

Urmstongran Mon 02-Sept-19 22:23:46

We know it isn’t .... until the fat lady sings!
?

Tra la, de dum ??

Momof3 Mon 02-Sept-19 22:45:14

@EnglishRose

Oh my days please grow up, people’s lives are going to severely effected by Brexit.

The EU will not do anything that will risk the good Friday agreement (a peace deal keeping peace in Northern Ireland) a problem which no one has come up with an answer for!!

The British Medical association have said people will suffer, I’m already having problems getting my asthma medication as are other people having medication problems or am I collateral damage. Radiation isotopes that people require for cancer treatment come from Europe. We’re currently operate on a European super urgent transplant list which means if someone in Manchester is at the top and a heart comes up in Rome that is suitable the Manchester patient gets it.

The CBI (the people who pay the workers wages) have said no deal will be a disaster. Companies will have to pay more in import and export costs.

The Bank of England governor (the person who controls our money) has said it will be a disaster.

Money is being removed from the city at the rate of billions.

Momof3 Mon 02-Sept-19 22:47:19

I find it really distasteful when people’s lives are going to be impacted
People who voted for Brexit on this forum seem to think it’s a big joke.

Momof3 Mon 02-Sept-19 22:54:23

Also the European election split was remain parties 37seats v Brexit vote 34seats. When you take into account the youth vote who tend to be remainers a general election could lead to an unexpected result.

maddyone Mon 02-Sept-19 23:28:24

I’ve not had any problems getting my asthma tablets or inhalers mumof3.

maddyone Mon 02-Sept-19 23:32:11

And Mervyn King has called for Britain to leave without a deal.

Labaik Mon 02-Sept-19 23:47:28

Perhaps you could share your medication with others who might be struggling to get theirs, then....

growstuff Mon 02-Sept-19 23:57:13

Where are they manufactured? Many inhalers and asthma tablets are manufactured in the UK.

Calendargirl Tue 03-Sept-19 07:05:51

The Bank of England governor has not made very accurate predictions in the past.

maddyone Tue 03-Sept-19 08:09:31

Labaik, you are are just plain rude. Sarcasm is not required. I have stated a fact, I have had no problems getting my asthma medication, why do you need to be nasty? Does it make you feel better?

maddyone Tue 03-Sept-19 08:11:46

Indeed growstuff has made a more relevant point, that many asthma meds are made in the U.K. She’s a remainer, but didn’t feel the need to be sarcastic.
