The papers are abuzz with speculation that there is to be one called this week! Here we go again...........

Labaik Tue 03-Sept-19 13:13:01

I don't think it would be nasty to share your medicine with people that can't get hold of any...

maddyone Tue 03-Sept-19 13:04:37

I see, nasty.

Framilode Tue 03-Sept-19 12:46:38

Yes, that's the answer. Don't listen, don't think, just shout.

GracesGranMK3 Tue 03-Sept-19 12:46:30

Would you have found it easier to understand Daisymae had said "A consultant 'phoned' Jacob Rees Mogg ..." or do you need pictures with your words?

We all miss-read things but you could have apologised when you realised.

moggie57 Tue 03-Sept-19 12:43:39

UKIP ALL THE WAY. FED UP WITH TORIES /LABOUR SAME OLD C**P. different day different story...same old rubbish.

Labaik Tue 03-Sept-19 12:42:56

It was a helpful suggestion...

maddyone Tue 03-Sept-19 12:32:15

So was.....

maddyone Tue 03-Sept-19 12:31:53

Oh, sonwas your comment to me funny, or just nasty Labaik.

Labaik Tue 03-Sept-19 11:49:15

Oh how funny lemon; making a joke about a threat to people reliant on imported medicine...sad…#youcreasemeup

maddyone Tue 03-Sept-19 09:59:53

I’m a little confused about what Jacob Rees-Mogg was actually saying as I didn’t see the interview. Rees-Mogg is a politician, not a doctor, therefore I’m assuming he was discussing the availability of medicines. I’m not sure what the GMC has to do with him as he’s not a medical doctor.

crystaltipps Tue 03-Sept-19 09:37:21

But presumably an oncologist knows a bit more about treating patients and the conditions he has to work in than J tres smugg. I know who I’d rather trust if I needed medical opinions.

lemongrove Tue 03-Sept-19 09:35:00

Whaaat?!
A consultant called Jacob Rees Mogg? ?
JRM is a Conservative MP who is now Leader Of The House Of Commons ( a Cabinet position.)

Daisymae Tue 03-Sept-19 09:30:18

I have had problems with my meds already. A consultant called Jacob Rees mogg a Muppet the other day as he talked about the threat to those reliant on imported meds. He dared him to take him to the GMC. One has to assume that he knows what he's talking about.

GrannyGravy13 Tue 03-Sept-19 09:09:02

All but one of my asthma medications come from the UK, the EU manufactured one is still being prescribed and available.

GracesGranMK3 Tue 03-Sept-19 08:20:55

F

maddyone Tue 03-Sept-19 08:11:46

Indeed growstuff has made a more relevant point, that many asthma meds are made in the U.K. She’s a remainer, but didn’t feel the need to be sarcastic.

maddyone Tue 03-Sept-19 08:09:31

Labaik, you are are just plain rude. Sarcasm is not required. I have stated a fact, I have had no problems getting my asthma medication, why do you need to be nasty? Does it make you feel better?

Calendargirl Tue 03-Sept-19 07:05:51

The Bank of England governor has not made very accurate predictions in the past.

growstuff Mon 02-Sept-19 23:57:13

Where are they manufactured? Many inhalers and asthma tablets are manufactured in the UK.

Labaik Mon 02-Sept-19 23:47:28

Perhaps you could share your medication with others who might be struggling to get theirs, then....

maddyone Mon 02-Sept-19 23:32:11

And Mervyn King has called for Britain to leave without a deal.

maddyone Mon 02-Sept-19 23:28:24

I’ve not had any problems getting my asthma tablets or inhalers mumof3.

Momof3 Mon 02-Sept-19 22:54:23

Also the European election split was remain parties 37seats v Brexit vote 34seats. When you take into account the youth vote who tend to be remainers a general election could lead to an unexpected result.

Momof3 Mon 02-Sept-19 22:47:19

I find it really distasteful when people’s lives are going to be impacted
People who voted for Brexit on this forum seem to think it’s a big joke.

Momof3 Mon 02-Sept-19 22:45:14

@EnglishRose

Oh my days please grow up, people’s lives are going to severely effected by Brexit.

The EU will not do anything that will risk the good Friday agreement (a peace deal keeping peace in Northern Ireland) a problem which no one has come up with an answer for!!

The British Medical association have said people will suffer, I’m already having problems getting my asthma medication as are other people having medication problems or am I collateral damage. Radiation isotopes that people require for cancer treatment come from Europe. We’re currently operate on a European super urgent transplant list which means if someone in Manchester is at the top and a heart comes up in Rome that is suitable the Manchester patient gets it.

The CBI (the people who pay the workers wages) have said no deal will be a disaster. Companies will have to pay more in import and export costs.

The Bank of England governor (the person who controls our money) has said it will be a disaster.

Money is being removed from the city at the rate of billions.
