I am livid to see this and well done to Caroline Lucus for calling him out on it.

I wonder how his fans here regard this behaviour?

Imagine a female, possibly even an overweight one ( !) behaving in such a manner or a left winger or Diane Abbott or just about anybody really!! It is quite unbelievable.

tall is the funniest.

LondonMzFitz Thu 05-Sept-19 17:16:01

Back to the original post 7 pages ago .... JRM was lying across 3 seats while listening to Independent MP's on the issue of Brexit, there's video of him complete with eyeroll while Caroline Lucas (Green, Brighton) speaks. www.theargus.co.uk/news/17879684.contempuous-jacob-rees-mogg-lambasted-caroline-lucas/ Rude behaviour that should not be excused by "tall", "tired" "hard of hearing" excuses.

I've never voted Conservative. I've voted before on policies and I've never felt that the Conservative party have had the policies I feel strongly about on their agenda. I voted Labour for many years, then LibDem until they "sold out" and jumped in with the Conservatives in 2010. Within an hour of Boris Johnson becoming PM I became a card carrying member of the Green Party.

Whitewavemark2 Thu 05-Sept-19 17:10:44

day6 are just posting stuff that is popping up in your head? There is a lot of stuff that is either wrong or unsubstantiated.

jenni123 Thu 05-Sept-19 17:06:58

This might help !!!

knickas63 Thu 05-Sept-19 16:48:44

Day6 - just did - nothing. Lots of ill founded rubbish about antisemitism in general, but nothing about him 'walking out on Jewish MP's'

Also - I was actually a Brexiteer. I wanted out - but the thought of being out under the Tories terrifies me! By the way. worked since I was 16, own my own home, have a private pension and have 3 kids and 5 grandkids. I am extremely concerned about their future - or any future under the Tories. I have no faith or trust in them at all. Self serving backstabber to a man. I am not an I'm alright Jack sort of person.

jura2 Thu 05-Sept-19 16:43:10

His behaviour, body language, contempt and arrogance was wrong - simples. Anyone even attempting to make excuses for him shares the description.

Keep workers rights/Protect food quality OR Leave Europe/ Change workers rights/Chlorinated chicken?

Hahaha Knickers.

For a start, every EU law which served us and protected rights and standards has been enshrined in British law - that legal transfer happened ages ago and is on-going.

You promote the UK as being malleable if it leaves the EU.

Brussels lets us go and all of a sudden the only choice is chlorinated chicken?

Stop scaremongering. We have millions of chickens and chicks born daily. We will not have to import stuff that is chlorinated - unless people demand it, of course! There is an opportunity there for UK chicken farmers too! smile

We did not need the EU to civilise us either.

We have led the way in human rights and worker's rights legislation. We are concerned about sweat shops around the world, are we not?

It's not either/or is it?

EU or apocalypse is your point of view.

Day6 Thu 05-Sept-19 16:34:55

blueskies, google it. Do your own research.

pinkquartz Thu 05-Sept-19 16:30:57

I agree with Grandad1943.
Rees-Mogg is an example of the worst type of MP. All privilege and no empathy or compassion or wisdom.

JRM is a disgrace - nothing else to say about him. As for the Corbyn bashing? I am constantly astonished at the blindness of people. Vowing never to vote for him and quoting made up nonsense. Spouting complete vitriol. What I really want to know is what part of his actual politics and policies do you disagree with. How much of it is gleaned from right wing editorials rather than fact about the policies? I looked up the policies of both parties on the BBC - who I am firmly convinced have a R Wing bias. You only have to look at the language they use to lay out these policies - but still, the Labour manifesto make so much more civilised sense to me.

Sleepygran Thu 05-Sept-19 16:08:41

Ther was something in Lady Chatterleys Lover when her husband found out about her affair he said something like I'd rather you'd been with an animal than a person from the lower order.JRM seems to me to hold the opinion that persons from the lower order aka all of us,don't deserve respect. He sees himself above everyone,or so it seems to me.

blueskies Thu 05-Sept-19 16:02:00

DAy 6 explain when and where he walked out on Jewish MPS Please. And the rest...?

Lessismore Thu 05-Sept-19 15:50:15

I think he was like the rest of us, bored with the nonsense going on in parliament at present

I am sitting at home, bored with nonsense.

He is being paid, he has been chosen represent people, he has been promoted to Leader of the House.

geeljay Thu 05-Sept-19 15:45:29

I think he was like the rest of us, bored with the nonsense going on in parliament at present.

Day6 Thu 05-Sept-19 15:18:09

Jeremy Corbyn is a decent honourable man who doesn’t do personal

I think you'll find he DOES. He walks out on Jewish MPs and mouths "Stupid woman" at the Conservative bench in full view of the camera,

That's just for starters.

4allweknow Thu 05-Sept-19 15:16:13

It didn't look like it, but sometimes MP, Lords look as if they are asleep as they are listening through the speakers sunk into the back of the seats. Who wouldn't be semi recumbent listening to the drivel currently spouted in the House of Commons.

blueskies Thu 05-Sept-19 15:14:17

Boos gran Jeremy Corbyn is a decent honourable man who doesn’t do personal. There aren’t many like that. If you feel you have to criticise him please spell out your reason. Please not just something you’ve read in a rag of a newspaper.tell us exactly what you disagree with in his manifesto so we know where you are coming from.

Cambia Thu 05-Sept-19 15:13:34

Are we actually paying him to do this? Can we issue a written warning?

SeaWatcher Thu 05-Sept-19 15:12:13

I think JRM's behaviour disrespectful and arrogant. He is paid a salary and I wonder what would happen to employees who behaved like that when at work. The pictures going around (Twitter, today's Metro, here, etc) are very amusing. Perhaps JRM thought we all needed entertaining in these difficult times and decided to make himself the source of the entertainment...somehow I think unlikely !

Lessismore Thu 05-Sept-19 14:57:08

Grecian, repeat the mantra " Corbyn is a baddie"....

Greciangirl Thu 05-Sept-19 14:53:59

Yes, lay of Corbyn.

It’s supposed to be about Rees Mogg.

WadesNan Thu 05-Sept-19 14:53:37

Patticake The Riot Club was written by Laura Wade, a left wing writer. Although she claims it was based on the Bullingdon Club she has said that she based it on a group of men she saw whilst at Bristol University "because they had shiney hair" !

Day6 Thu 05-Sept-19 14:50:39

I don’t think we have a Conservative party any more. Only a UKIP/Brexit Party

That's your view as a left wing Remainer, of course. I want to leave the EU and trusted the Conservative Party to take us out.

The Brexit Party will gather up former Labour supporters who voted Leave and Conservatives voters should Boris be thwarted in his aim to free us from Brussels stranglehold on the UK's growth. Boris gained lots of support and admiration for his approach on becoming PM. We have a Lib Dem council but many people here do not want a Lib Dem Remainer Government, so all parties are threatened by this newcomer party wanting to uphold democracy.

The Brexit Party challenges all parties and I find that refreshing in a democracy where more people wanted to leave the EU than stay in it.
