Corbyn knows he and the Labour Party will be wiped out if not by Boris and the Conservatives by the Brexit Party
Indeed Firecracker
Corbyn is repulsive, such a disappointment, and SO weak. He is being controlled by hard left Momentum and any principles he did have are discarded without thought because he is beginning to love having power. He is pathetic, he really is.
I wouldn't trust him to run a bath, never mind the country.

Corbyn the chicken running scared of a geneta election
(148 Posts)Ooh I’ve always wanted to do a ‘whataboutery’ on GN ans Shoequeen53 has just given me the chance - just like the Milliband brothers then.....
You could easily substitute “Johnson” for “Corbyn “ in the above - repulsive, weak, controlled by Cummings, discarding any principles, lying, loves power, pathetic, can’t trust him etc... sad day for politics really.
Boris isn't weak he had the balls to sack 21 remain MPs in his Party, well done him I'm impressed and going by the Facebook forum posts so are many others, Conservative and Brexit Party supporters.
Corbyn's frightened of a general election I always thought that was the object of the opposition to gain power through the ballot box not by underhand means, he's despicable, he done himself no favours he'll be wiped out in the next General election up North and in the Midlands, when that happens I and plenty others will be cheering ?.
You might be eating your words Firecracker.
Firecracker123 and Day6 I'm relishing the prospect of you being proved wrong; horrendous right-wing posts, I really wonder sometimes whether we are living in the same world.
Shouting insults at Jeremy Corbyn is not statesmanlike nor acceptable. Whatever their political disagreements there is absolutely no excuse for this sort of behaviour. It would not be considered acceptable in a classroom or school playground ( I hope !)
SeaWatcher
Have you only just started watching the goings on in parliament?
This sort of behaviour is par for the course and has gone on for years on both sides of the floor.
It certainly would not be tolerated in the classroom, but is tolerated in there...too much testosterone.
Not years joel that is why the tone of language is being commented on, both in here and parliament.
Identity politics it appears has been imported from the USA. Something I very much regret tbh.
Johnson's performance in Parliament yesterday was appalling. The insults aside, he didn't answer any of the questions putto him and was just full of bluster.
It was as though he was frightened of being accountable and admitting the truth about how little has been done. He even lied about something Gove had said.
Accusing Corbyn of "playing the game" is derisive.
Johnson is the PM and is paid out of the public purse to be a grown up.
Isn't it odd that if someone posts something that does not conform to a remain voters idea of what is right then the opposing poster is held to be right wing or facist.
Could the hard remainers deep conviction that they are right be based on proletariat propaganda that they in nativity have absorbed as truth...can they be sure?
Johnson is the monkey playing the game of Cummings the organ grinder. It is reported he didn’t want to withdraw the whip from the 21 rebels as it cut his majority in a stroke, Cummings made him threaten them as part of his Stalinist strategy. His bumbling , sexist and childish name calling, swearing all shows him getting rattled. Corbyn isn’t the one with power so why hurl all your insults at him??
joelsnan Isn't it odd that if someone posts something that does not conform to a leave voters idea of what is right then the opposing poster is held to be left wing or communist-sympathising.
Could the hard leavers deep conviction that they are right be based on Vote Leave propaganda that they in nativity have absorbed as truth...can they be sure?
It's been many years since I experienced nativity !
humpty
See, so convinced you are the only ones that are right, and btw do you know how I voted or if I voted at all?
Well humptydumpty you'll have to forgive GN members for responding to horrendous left wing posts often in support of Corbyn, which appear on these boards every single day.
I do not relish anyone's disappointment though, political or otherwise. That's not a nice way to be, is it? It does you more harm than the people the nastiness is aimed at.
We are going through a strange political period where everything might as well be up in the air. No one knows, thanks to the vagueries and combative nature of the HOC, what will happen next.
There is no delight for anyone to be taken from the present mess, caused by our MPs.
My apologies Day6, I do agree. It's difficult to see where all of this is going; but one thing we can say for sure is that there is going to be no resolution, sadly, that will keep evryone happy. If only DC had not stirred up this hornets' nest - it feels like the opening of Pandora's box.
Isn't it odd that if someone posts something that does not conform to a remain voters idea of what is right then the opposing poster is held to be right wing or facist.
This is true Joelsnan. You could be a full blown saint complete with halo, but if you favour a certain set of conditions the left scream 'Fascist!" or even "Nazi".
I think there is something quite fascist about the left who regularly scream down the opposition with such taunts. Don't forget 'racist' too.
They sling around such words quite frequently, so much so that they have become common-place and the hateful nature of such vile terms is truly lost on harmless moderates through over-use.
Think differently, support someone other than Corbyn, and that automatically makes a person 'fascist'
Go onto the Guardian message boards, or any other left wing paper online, and you'll see Corbynism might as well be called 'Fascism' because these (I can only assume they are young and immature) posters have the 'script' almost like a call-centre dictated response. They cannot argue or accept differences with good grace.
Politics never used to be like this. I suppose social media is to blame for giving us the opportunity to joust online.
See the same happening with the word populism. The left hate populism, because it means voters reject their choice in favour of someone who seems more in tune with current worries. The 'popular' choice is often not a liberal left winger.
Populism is a threat. It means more people are waking up to politicians not hearing them or acting for them or representing them. Liberal views which fail to take into account the concerns of the moderate populace have been rejected. The hypocrite left wing Hilary Clinton lost her standing with her 'basket of deplorables' term to label people who didn't vote for her. Left wing Gordon Brown sneered at a Labour supporter and labelled her 'stupid and bigoted' once he thought he was off microphone.
People are rejecting phoney politicians. Corbyn is a case in point.
Do you mean Corbyn is rejecting phoney politicians? - he seems to be.
It's difficult to see where all of this is going; but one thing we can say for sure is that there is going to be no resolution, sadly, that will keep evryone happy.
I completely agree humptydumpty We are all suffering.
I have told myself several times not to engage in any political discussion right now, because things are in turmoil and parliament is divided like never before.
Being politically partisan is OK and natural but we seem to have unleashed enmity too which serves no one well.
Maizie : 'He's giving this shambolic government enough rope to hang itself.'
fantastic strategy and working very very well so far - and I am NOT a Corbyn fan, nor a LP member either.
Caroline Lucas explains so well that it is a trap, and that 'we' will not fall for it - the rest of her speech is amazing too. She is the true Heroine of Brexit so far.

Corbyn and Lucas both running scared of a General election and the SNP.
Nope. Just manipulating the situation to avoid a no deal.
Thinking if country before party.
Unlike Johnson who thinks of self aggrandisement above everything else
