Why are "Leavers" so angry?

Watching Question Time, reading GN and listening to others the anger and ire of those who voted leave astounds me. They are it seems prepared to dump everything to get what they want. A constitution, a legal system, parliamentary democracy mean nothing to them. There is only one small party which is actually campaigning to stop Brexit. One will offer a referendum on a deal and one will (so Johnson says) get a better deal or leave with No Deal. So why are they so aggressive? I can only think that they are actually really upset about what they have done. That they realise the Brexit they were sold and voted for never really existed. That the complications of N. Ireland, the prospect of No Deal and huge shortages and the very real economic strictures have just dawned on them. But rather than admit they were misled and possiby wrong they are reacting by blaming everyone else. It's like a toddler promised pudding who knows he has to eat the main course first but is looking at what is being served and screaming "That's too much and I want my pudding NOW!"

Jaycee, I use it in a very limited way, not to follow discussions. I don't really think it is terribly useful.
People are just firing off comments. It reminds me of the signs of the zodiac. How can anyone divide the whole of humanity into 12 categories.

How can we divide a population into 2 groups and then ascribe various traits to them?

Yes I did read it.
How can anyone be so sure Brexit will be so damaging. The same people who said the economy would be flat on its back by now?
If you were listening to R4 this morning the chief economist stated that the economy is actually in growth, small yes, but when Germany is going into recession and other EU countries are not far behind it seems there are those in the wider world that have confidence in the UK.
With regard to the NE. What do you think will happen to the money that goes to the EU to come back to the NE (after admin charges have been deducted) will go?
It will stay in the UK and will be of greater value because it will be the gross amount without the deductions. The government already knows where current EU funding goes and will doubtless ensure support continues. Indeed as the funding will be handled in country there will be opportunity to apply it in a more bespoke manner rather than complying to the strict and cumbersome EU funding application criteria.

Grapefruitpip That was exactly the point I was making. There are good and bad people on each side. Clever and stupid people on both sides. Bigots and tolerant people on both sides.
I was challenged on that which is why I only responded about one side.
This is why it has been impossible to have rational debate. The spitefulness and bitterness just because people have a different point of view about belonging to a trading bloc.

Joelsnan My MP recently asked the government to give her some idea of how much they would give to the NE to plug the gap left by the withdrawal of EU money. They wouldn't answer.
