The issue is one of trust. The treaty Johnson wants us to sign up to has such profound consequences for the very future of the United Kingdom, it's the wider economy, and the well-being of all that come after us that it surely should be scrutinised in full, as is the job of Parliament, before being signed off. The Government should have seen this would be an issue. In fact, I am sure they did.

Surely everyone can see these tactics were designed to bring about a no-deal exit on October 31 if the Eurosceptics were to withdraw their support as the bill moved forward. They have now bred a very suspicious parliament. Putting the liar-in-chief in the top job has really not helped their cause.

This scion of Eton has, with his duplicitous, machiavellian ways stabbed the DUP, in the back, the front and anywhere else he can find. He made the Letwin amendment essential.

He started the proceedings with a newly acquired tone of statesmanship; an improvement on his attempts to stir up descent to be sure. However, this immediately dissolved when he found he could not get his own way. He stamped his feet like a toddler and said he would not “negotiate a delay with the EU”.

While MPs from all sides tried to make good law a possibility, his sense of entitlement showed through as a complete disregard of the law of our country. Apparently, he is above all that.

Another of his kind simply walked out without taking questions. Rees-Mogg's rudeness and discourtesy showed the arrogance of those who have grabbed the running of our country for themselves but do not have the wherewithal to actually do a decent job when the going gets tough. His disregard of parental responsibilities by taking a 12-year-old into what was bound to be a contentious situation, partly created by himself, would have seen social workers descending on him if there was any justice.

Three years of attempts to make sense of the hole this "governing" party has put us all in have now shown there is now so little trust in the Conservatives that no one can agree on anything. Thankfully some are still trying to steer a course for us, through the morass.

It's not just yes = instant death to our way of life and all we know. Its the start of a lot of problem solving and hard work to get things moving again after these years of pointless stalemate that have achieved nothing.
Meanwhile the country needs to be governed by a party who are not distracted by all the Brexit infighting and posturing by politicians of all parties.
Note I have no idea who this new government might be.

'I’ve posted this story in the Sun which has been widely reported across the media. The story is fake news. I was there when he walked out of the backdoor of Parliament. We were a small jubilant crowd of Remainers being heckled by a rowdy bunch of Leavers ranting about the 17.4 etc. The two sides were engaged in lively but civil banter. There was no violence. I spoke to one of the police curious about his space-age backpack. He joked about it containing sandwiches then explained it was to transmit video to HQ of anyone making trouble. He said they’d used it only once earlier and complimented the crowd for being good tempered. A slow but steady stream of MPs were emerging from Parliament in black tinted window cars to be sped away. Emily Thornberry and other familiar Remain MPs were happy to face the crowd and emerged on foot to be cheered. They needed no guard in spite of heckling from Brexiters. Kate Hoey walked out alone ignoring us jeering Remainers. No harm done. Bill Cash walked out alone to face jeers. No harm done. Rees-Mogg and Ledsom had lined up a police guard to be ready and waiting for them as they came out on foot. Of course the Brexit crowd cheered them and the Remainers jeered. I witnessed no violence. There was no risk of violence - others had walked out to no harm. But there was no reason for them to be on foot. They too could have left discreetly behind tinted glass instead of dramatically marked out by a yellow coated guard. It was a staged event designed to generate news footage that could be reported as negative towards the Remain campaign. Rees-Mogg had a smirk on his face, because he knew exactly what he would be reading in the papers the next day. What really distressed me is that even The Guardian reported this fake news story, clearly not taking the trouble to check their source. No wonder getting Leavers to hear the truth is so hard'

If that's true (and I've no reason to believe it's not), they could have used cars, despite the closed roads. The more I think about it, the more I really do think it was done as a publicity stunt. Leadsom was tweeting about it just a few minutes after she left the HoC.

There were hundreds of thousands of people on the march and AFAIK not one arrest, so it's quite remarkable that this was reported as violent and the marchers labelled "a rabble". I've watched the videos of Leadsom and Mogg being heckled. Yes, people were shouting "shame on you" at them, but they were never in any danger, which is more than can be said of the aggression which has been shown towards Anna Soubry and some others.

I can't help feeling that Mogg took his son along, so that he could show to his offspring what the plebs are like, just to prove they really are scum.

Mogg had Brexiters shouting at him too, where's all the fuss about that?

Thanks for copying the eye witness account Labaik. Unfortunately, it is easy to set these thing up to convince the pond-life in their daily news gathering. We now appear to have a press that takes ever feed unquestioningly. Good that the other point of view - actual view - gets reported somewhere.

Talking of pond-life, I have just been checking on th old-people's Brexit forum I study and it appears they are tiring of Farage, which can only be good news.
