Boris getting tough with EU

It sounds like the gloves are off. Merkyl has now told Boris EU will never agree deal unless NI is fully within CU. Boris reply is Conservative manifesto will state we leave with no deal as new policy if EU fail to agree to his deal. He will also offer 'front of the queue deal' to any country vetoing UK Brexit delay but countries approving one will 'go to the back of the queue'. He will also refuse to negotiate any further with EU after Oct 31st. He may refuse to share our security with EU and appoint Nigel Farage as UK commissioner to EU. The great pity is our own parliament sabotaged Boris doing deal with EU by forcing him to ask for yet another useless extension on Oct 19th, costing £1 billion gross every month, so now EU think they don't need to negotiate with Boris just sit tight. Now we will most likely end up leaving with no deal.

Astonishing , isn't it Dinahmo?

BJ can cheat on his wife, have umpteen affairs, lie and lie and lie again and be found out for lying, and be involved in obscene waste of public funds, be backed by dubious currency speculators whose only aim is to destroy the UK economy, but none of it matters to those who see him as "good old Boris who will get brexit done"

These people need to start to understand the damage they are causing to the whole of the UK -including, and most especially the 50 million inhabitants who never voted for this brexit nonsense.

Wake up leave voters. You were fooled into voting against your better interests and it is high time you realised that.

Varian we are wide awake and hoping for a better future out of the EU. We have several trade deals lined up to roll over from EU with 15 countries and also 6 African nations. Australia, New Zealand and USA in pipeline. But WTO for now.

Dinahmo Tue 08-Oct-19 18:38:50

Varian Yes it is astonishing. I didn't include the cheating bit because I'm not that bothered about who does what to whom, apart from the lies that go with it.

Have you seen anything concrete about all these trade deals that are lined up, because I haven't.

Clearly brainwashed into thinking that 'good old Boris' will do what they want and somehow the wanton waste of money, the lies and boorishness for some reason become acceptable.
Would anyone in their right mind accept this level of crass behaviour in their friends or family?
If the country generally stooped to this brand of 'morality we surely would be letting down our DGC - and that's without even contemplating the economic downturn, recession and projected levels of debt.
Get real!

Johnson and his affluence and his breeding appeal to many.

Whitewavemark2 Tue 08-Oct-19 19:14:06

grapefruit is that breeding as in fecundity?

grapefruitpip Tue 08-Oct-19 19:22:55

no, his de piffler name .

jura2 Tue 08-Oct-19 19:23:01

I'd say be careful, be very careful, what you wish for.

The whole world is watching and the Johnson, and the UK with him, have lost all credibility, and no-one trusts him or those who sail with him.

No Deal - is very likely- No Deal with the EU, and not deal with the USA either. As said, Trump is in trouble and in NO position whatsoever to offer a Deal that does not fully protect Ireland and GFA.

Let's hear it for the leave voters who have had the courage to admit they were wrong.,"I voted leave in the EU referendum, and totally regret the decision. I now realise this was a huge mistake looking at the actual evidence and facts. If I could vote again, it would be for remain".

@RemainerNow #Brexit #RemainerNow

This is what we are becoming. I am ashamed to be British.

grapefruitpip Tue 08-Oct-19 19:35:46

Don't worry folks ....we are all set to become the Singapore of Europe.

That woman has more integrity and decency and intelligence in her little finger than the whole of Westminster.

Fascism - a tool

Simple slogans repeated over and over again, with the intention of dividing.

This poster is a classic type of propaganda used by fascists.

It points to a stereotype of someone “over there” who can be blamed for the mess we are in.

varian Tue 08-Oct-19 19:41:28

This image from leave.eu is utterly disgusting. It reveals this appalling racist propaganda for what it has always been. Wake up leave voters. You are better than this.

More foulness

My wife had to endure a Brexit fuelled racist rant on her bus home. She was told:-
“Wait until Brexit comes you will be out from this country”
My wife is from Asia, so I guess the vitriol is against all non English and is on the increase as it was in 1930s Germany

The story today of how the biggest UK drug conspiracy has been smashed, thanks to cooperation between our police and European agencies. When we leave the EU we will no longer have this access.

Further down the article states

The government has, however, today published a 159-page "No Deal Readiness" report.
If you get to page 153, you will find it admits that leaving the EU without a deal amounts to a "loss of capability" for British police.
And it further admits that the proposed alternatives "cannot fully compensate for the loss of EU co-operation tools".

Leave voters who knew exactly what they were voting for, was this really something you were happy to lose?

Keir Starmer says it very well:

is on the increase as it was in 1930s Germany

is? it has been for years.....Polish people abused/kicked to death in one case.

Seemingly designed to send a clear message to Brussels that no deal is still a very real prospect despite the so-called Benn ‘Surrender’ Act, the memo warns negotiations will "probably end this week" and that if the deal dies "it won't be revived".

Revealing the Tories intend to fight the next general election on a no-deal platform, the explosive missive adds: "To marginalise the Brexit Party, we will have to fight the election on the basis of ‘no more delays, get Brexit done immediately’.

"They thought that if May went then Brexit would get softer. It seems few have learned from this mistake."

Bring it on Boris.
It’s not before time.

It is too late now. The train has left the station. Perhaps this is what Boris (and we) wanted. There is no deal which would have been accepted by everyone but No Deal will be.

So No Deal it is and Boris will be the hero. No question.
?

SirChenjin Tue 08-Oct-19 21:29:44

Boris doesn’t even feature on the reserve list of true heroes.

Urmstongran Tue 08-Oct-19 21:31:13

He does in my book!

To each his own eh?

SirChenjin Tue 08-Oct-19 21:33:58

Yep - it takes all sorts Urm, that’s for sure. Fortunately the majority of voters have a higher definition of hero.

Eh???

grapefruitpip Tue 08-Oct-19 21:35:17

hero?

MawB Tue 08-Oct-19 21:36:10

Whitewave that is appalling
I too heard about the drugs “bust” on tonight’s news and how under post-Brexit conditions, such cooperation with other police agencies would no longer be possible.
One giant step for (UK) mankind- backwards sad
