we had Harry all over the "news" earlier now his wife has joined in with the whinging about how hard their life is!! Honestly ..they should have to live the lives of millions in this country and then they would know how HARD life can get .Why is it NEWS anyway? If its so hard they can always walk away .

Its strange, because I have only ever seen about two pictures of Meghan.
I've never seen William and Kate's little girl, and I can't even remember her name.

Its quite easy to avoid.

Gonegirl Mon 21-Oct-19 15:15:44

Where have you been? Mars?

Bridgeit Mon 21-Oct-19 15:16:19

No one has to ‘feel ‘for her but neither do they have to belittle her. What does it achieve, do people feel better about themselves if they spend their time Hubble bubble toiling & troubling ? Sad !

trisher Mon 21-Oct-19 15:16:20

There's something weird about all the people on this thread who love the RF apart from the ones they choose to whine and bitch about. I've realised why you need them. I can't think of any other group of people who can be idolised one minute and unmercifully kicked the next. They're the Aunt Sally's of the UK just set up so someone can knock them down.

Gonegirl Mon 21-Oct-19 15:16:30

Anyway, what's young Charlotte got to do with it?

Bridgeit Mon 21-Oct-19 15:31:25

Just a thought
Given a choice would you want to swap lives with them? Lock , stock & barrel, not just bits of it ? The whole package
I know I wouldn’t no matter what was on offer .

pinkquartz Mon 21-Oct-19 15:39:49

I think she wanted fame and then wishes she hadn't.

She wanted wealth and gets to keep that.

Justice is not what she has given her father. I feel sorry for him not seeing his grandson. That must hurt.

Harry receives his income from the Duchy of Cornwall - not from "struggling British taxpayers". The Duchy is a private estate established in 1337 by Edward III.

Bridgeit Mon 21-Oct-19 15:53:44

We know nothing about the true situation with her Father.
Perhaps I have missed her talking personally & in detail directly to the nation .

merlotgran Mon 21-Oct-19 15:58:13

I'd like to know what Meghan's version of being left alone is, Gonegirl. If she hadn't decided to sue the press and the announcement hadn't been made the day before they came back from SA. They'd have just gone home and not been seen again until their next engagement, just as William and Kate have come back from Pakistan and resumed their normal royal life.

The documentary was unnecessary and took the spotlight from the people suffering real hardship.

I am really trying to sympathise and not be critical but I still think they're making a lot of mistakes.

Bridgeit Mon 21-Oct-19 15:58:14

Thanks for that info Beckett, there is so much that many of us don’t know. Seems it’s just a bit of sport for some on here.

merlotgran Mon 21-Oct-19 16:16:38

British taxpayers paid for the renovations to Frogmore Cottage and also pay for his and his family's protection.

pinkquartz Mon 21-Oct-19 16:32:59

Beckett

It was nicked back in the fourteenth century...still nicked

but anyway WE do pay for all their security and many other travel expenses so please we do pay

pinkquartz Mon 21-Oct-19 16:36:00

who knew that Prince Albert did something akin to expenses fiddling to gae the money to buy Balmoral and the place on the Isle of Wight...?

it's not like they ever worked, other than the Organic Food which I love.

How did the Royals get their money?

There was a book published recently I must get a copy.

Meghan's relationship with her family has been widely documented Bridgett

Bridgeit Mon 21-Oct-19 16:37:36

Documented or Paparazzied

Gonegirl Mon 21-Oct-19 16:38:10

this shows where the money came from

If you cba to read it. I can't.

pinkquartz Mon 21-Oct-19 16:40:31

I am unashamedly not trying to be sympathetic but I did want to be fair.

Seeing people living their life and whinging has finished it for me.

I have nothing negative to say about any of the other RF, although I would like to know the truth about P Andrew

merlotgran Mon 21-Oct-19 16:43:06

I wonder if her family have signed agreements not to divulge any further information?

They've gone very quiet. I would have thought the press attention at the moment would have had Meghan's half sister adding her twopenn'orth.

pinkquartz Mon 21-Oct-19 18:09:56

Yes I wondered why her family are being so quiet.

I do mean it about her face is everywhere......Online newspapers usually

Bridgeit Mon 21-Oct-19 18:18:57

She doesn’t put them there .

merlotgran Mon 21-Oct-19 18:23:20

Why did Meghan say they don't have tabloids in the US?

annep1 Mon 21-Oct-19 18:25:38

So that's ok then Beckett Edward iii worked hard to buy the Duchy.
This country should belong to the people

Bridgeit Mon 21-Oct-19 18:31:11

Merlotgran , you can look up online about the difference between us & the United States re Tabloids & newspapers generally

I’m afraid I agree with the OP from Paddyann, ever since Meghan arrived on the scene, we’ve had one drama after another, well she is an actress after all! We had the drama over her father, the drama over who was going to walk her down the aisle, the ridiculous drama over the messages on bananas to prostitutes, the drama over the fall out with William, the drama over how much she spent on clothes in one year (over one million pounds apparently, far more than Catherine or Camilla) the ridiculous drama over the baby’s birth and the even more ridiculous drama over the godparents, and so it goes on. Prior to Meghan’s arrival Harry was genuinely liked by most people, now he’s turned into a whinging, sorry for himself, self indulgent person with a victim mentality. As Paddyann says they should have a try living the life of millions in this country who have genuine problems and difficulties, including sometimes real poverty.

Harry suffered the loss of his mother at a very young age, so did William. William is not crying to the press about his problems, he’s got on and made a successful life for himself with his lovely and dignified wife. Everyone felt for those young boys as they walked behind their mother’s coffin, but in the end, everyone who loses a parent when they’re very young has to get on with the rest of their lives, remembering that beloved parent but not letting the loss destroy them. Harry needs to remember this and whilst keeping Diana close in his heart, he needs to live the rest of his very privileged life.

MawB Mon 21-Oct-19 18:52:25

Who was it suggested it was like reverse coercive control ?
I have skimmed through the thread but can’t find the suggestion that somehow Harry’s confidence has been leached away until he is a shadow of the gorgeous fun chap he used to be. Is this too much conspiracy theory but how else could being with Meghan have been to his detriment when being happily married should have made him “complete” instead of changing his personality. Perhaps that is why he and William have parted company?
