we had Harry all over the "news" earlier now his wife has joined in with the whinging about how hard their life is!! Honestly ..they should have to live the lives of millions in this country and then they would know how HARD life can get .Why is it NEWS anyway? If its so hard they can always walk away .

Sometimes people set things up to fail just so they can point and say "look how awful it is! I told you it was awful!"

I feel like this is what H is doing by chosing to be a working Royal. Setting himself up to fail and be criticised to "prove" how awful it all is.

Well I'm proper confused now confused

From what Meghan said I got the impression that US tabloids were superior to ours so I googled as Bridgeit suggested.

All I could find was:

'Why I had to kill Diana' - Prince Charles in The Globe.

Barak Obama smokes a Cuban cigar. New York Post

Pregnant Kate in Brain Tumor Drama - Globe again.

Zip Me Up Before You GoGo - American Sun

Hilary Only Has Two Months to Live - National Enquirer

and...The Queen is Dying. Globe.

Definitely a cut about ours. grin

A good and happy marriage should have made both of them happy. But both of them are whining and whinging, it’s ridiculous, as Paddyann says, there are so many other people in this country who have to tolerate far more than they do. It is absolutely certain that the persona we see of Harry now is completely different from that which we saw before his marriage. Of course we only see what is reported, but they have chosen to present a victim mentality to the world for us all to see. Pathetic! Paddyann is right.

Yup. There are no tabliods in America and the press is fair there.

Britain has been unfair to her. And it is unhealthy to act British.

Charming.

Bridgeit Mon 21-Oct-19 19:02:50

?You couldn’t make it up could you, ??oh yes they can !

notanan2 Mon 21-Oct-19 19:04:58

It is bonkers!

As if the press has been flattering to the other Royals!

Its not fair! hmm

They are so far dowm this Rabbit hole that they are like the boy in the Snow Queen with the glass in his eye who only sees ugliness. They have lashed out at media outlets which have been supportive of them too. Theres a lot of anger..

Urmstongran Mon 21-Oct-19 19:09:41

I think Harry is lost and vulnerable. I honestly think he has mental health issues. He also has anger management issues and lashes out (press, his brother) where he perceives criticism.

He needs professional help. And his brother is worried about him.

merlotgran Mon 21-Oct-19 19:10:50

It was me, Maw. This morning, 10:21.

The acting connection has turned me into a conspiracy theorist. grin

Gonegirl Mon 21-Oct-19 19:13:19

a shadow of the gorgeous fun chap he used to be

Oh that's the problem is it?! He's grown up.

Of course he never got criticised when he was younger, did he?

Gonegirl Mon 21-Oct-19 19:14:55

Why is everybody out to get everyone else in this little country of ours?

H&M are "throwing the first punches" (left right and centre)

pinkquartz Mon 21-Oct-19 19:17:12

I usually ignore anything about the RF. I think there time should be over any time soon.

But I do remember that when young H dressed as an SS guard for "fun"
Made my stomach turn especially as the Duke of Windsor was a Nazi sympathizer.

notanan2 Mon 21-Oct-19 19:17:48

Well yeah the immature laddish rogue isnt so endeering when a middle aged man is still acting out

merlotgran Mon 21-Oct-19 19:20:20

I'm not out to 'get' anyone but I do think their behaviour is worth commenting on.

I've made loads of nice comments about Meghan.

I only started to get a bit irritated when we had all the malarkey surrounding Archie's birth but I didn't think things would get worse

notanan2 Mon 21-Oct-19 19:29:26

Its just all so unnecessary!

Don't like it? Don't do it then!

He is NOT in Will's & Charles' positions. H is now quite a peripheral Royal. It would have been fine for then to not "take the job". They could still walk away from it.

So the martyrdom is hard to swallow when they in one breath tell us how much they hate it, and in the next tell is how vital it is that they use their platform (as if we all have SOO much to learn from them hmm )

MawB Mon 21-Oct-19 20:55:02

Well yeah the immature laddish rogue isnt so endeering (sic) when a middle aged man is still acting out

Harry is hardly a “middle aged man” !
I would say I found him quite endearing up to very recently - remember how he was telling us about Archie’s birth?
Something has changed and whether it is Meghan’s influence or his sleb friends like the Clooneys, he cuts a sad figure these days. I am convinced he is badly advised and wonder if his choice of advisers has been rethought to suit an LA actress rather than a British Royal.

jo1book Mon 21-Oct-19 21:40:13

I do wonder if it is an American characteristic of hating being disliked that is eating MM? Apparently, Nasties in the Movies are played by Brits. Harry isn't mentally ill; just teriified of losing his wife to American Chat shows - My Hell as a Royal complains Duchess.

MissAdventure Mon 21-Oct-19 21:57:06

Well, in the course of this thread he's been mentally ill, perfectly normal, grieving normally, needs to pull himself together...

Anniebach Mon 21-Oct-19 21:59:42

Different opinions , happens on many threads

MissAdventure Mon 21-Oct-19 22:01:33

Everyone says it with such confidence. (Just thought: also happens on other threads! grin)

notanan2 Mon 21-Oct-19 22:08:51

It is also hard to believe that M had "no idea" what she was getting into

She said that before: when engaged she said she didnt really know much about who harry was. Then footage resurfaced from before they are supposed to have met of her saying how fanciable "Prince Harry" was. Hmm

She is a professional worldly successful 30 something. Are we REALLY to believe that she moved continents and took a high profile job without researching it at all?

hmm

Anniebach Mon 21-Oct-19 22:17:47

In February George Clooney compared Megan’s treatment to
Diana’s !

AllotmentLil Mon 21-Oct-19 22:40:30

Good post Maw - agree with all you say.

notanan2 Mon 21-Oct-19 22:44:09

Oh well if their mate George Clooney says so...
grin

Their behaviour is comparable to Dianas... and so will generate some similar responses/reactions. But its by their own design

EllanVannin Mon 21-Oct-19 22:45:39

I wonder if Meghan has got post-natal depression ? If so, it'll naturally rub off on Harry. This" oddness " has happened since the birth of Archie.
It's the sort of illness which manifests itself in different ways. Meghan's being seen to be quite over-protective of the child in certain situations and unnaturally clingy with Harry.

Kate and William were never like this.
