Two wrongs don’t make a right .
ALPHABETICAL FOOD AND DRINK (Jan 26)
we had Harry all over the "news" earlier now his wife has joined in with the whinging about how hard their life is!! Honestly ..they should have to live the lives of millions in this country and then they would know how HARD life can get .Why is it NEWS anyway? If its so hard they can always walk away .
Two wrongs don’t make a right .
How can you 'dislike' a person you do not know personally ?The media on learning of her relationship delved into her life and the rest followed. Alleged by the media she fed Harry with the tale of 'no family' and it became apparent he had lapped it up like a starving cat given a saucer of milk and broadcast this to the world . She rejected her family for no other reason in my view than they became superfluous to her requirements having preference for the jet set who could pave the way to the kind of life she wanted. What family wouldn't retaliate and there cannot be many who will say all she had to do was put what ever the water back under the bridge and bring them back into her life. I do not believe Harry being the compassionate man he is would have said no. You reap what you sow.
I am somewhat bemused by the outpouring of dislike (almost hate) for this couple, who I think it is safe to assume nobody on GN has ever met.
Is it because everyone thought of the young Harry as "our prince" - a bit of a lovable rascal and would have disapproved of anyone who took that away?
Perhaps it is because she wasn't the conventional "virgin from the upper classes"
I have read and heard people saying that it is only a matter of time before she leaves. IF that does happen many people will be giving themselves a self satisfied pat on the back and saying "told you so", but how many will stop to think that the reason could be because of the constant attacks, both in the press and on sites such as this, became too much and drove her away.
paddyann didn’t critcise the Monarchy, she spoke of two members of the royal family .
Has this ITV documentary been shown yet?
It's on tomorrow night, Gonegirl
Plenty of clips being shown though.
This issue was headline news on the 6.30pm evening news on ITV. I just couldn’t believe it especially as there’s so much going on in the UK at the moment and it was basically an advert for one of their own programmes on Sunday. Megan said (I can’t remember the exact words) that not many people ask how she is. What about all of her friends who attended the wedding and baby shower? Have they suddenly left her high and dry? I don’t think either of them are coping well and probably finding all this a bit too stressful.
Perhaps they are trying to say that , no matter what advantages some have in life it doesn’t alter the emotional effect of the loss of a loved one .
Of course they don’t have to worry about finances etc. However Financial security in excess will not ease emotional damage.
We never get over a loss , but we learn to cope & carry on ,But
every once in awhile when least expected it will come back & bite us in the bum ! That is when we witness what it is to be a a caring , feeling human being & see that for that split second in time there is no comfort to obliterate the original pain of loss.
Thanks merlot. Will look out for it.
Bridgeit very well put ?
Thankyou Grannygravy13
The problem is they refused to take any advice in the early days. 'What Meghan wants, Meghan gets' has not stood them in good stead. They got through a lot of staff, behaved in a childish way over Archie's birth and snubbed the British public who finance their lavish lifestyle by allowing a glimpse of the top of their baby's head and a sneak peek at his feet. They were happy to introduce him to Desmond Tutu though in full glare of the cameras. Waving two fingers couldn't have made their point clearer.
Just as they seemed to be getting it right again they decided to sue the press instead of basking in the success of their South African tour.
They were riding on a wave of popularity and they blew it!
There was a thread here a while back where people were outraged at the suggestion that money eases grief, or at least makes aspects of it easier to cope with.
True Bridgeit we never get over the loss of a loved one’, but
If we wish we can talk to friends or family or a bereavement counsellor, but to the world after a visit to Africa where there is much suffering ?
According to the Express, they may be pulling out of the Royal circle to lead ordinary lives.
Will they be paying for their own house renovations and security in future?
Actually I am fed up with them. I'm not going to whine on about my sad childhood , but it was pretty bad. The point I would make is that they are both privileged; they have wealth beyond what most of us could imagine; they want for nothing materially; they can go on holiday to places I can only dream about; they don't live the sort of life where every day is a struggle to put food on the table, pay the rent or other bills. Their child/ren will never know want. If they are feeling unwell then they can access the best medical care immediately.
Money doesn't ease grief but it means that a person can grieve without having to worry about material problems. I can assure you that I know all about grieving and being really poor .
Instead of preaching to us plebs , which is what we have had up to now , please try to understand what life is like for those of us without huge wealth. And if she needs to have treatment for post natal depression then please get some.
Me too Oldwoman. No-one knows what is going on with someone's mental health apart from that person. That is why so many people choose suicide instead of speaking out. PND is a serious illness and life threatening if you develop psychosis and is not restricted to those who are on a low income etc. Also prolonged grief can develop into a serious mental illness and I wish more people would speak out about these things - or maybe not given the attitudes of some here as some of these comments would drive me to harm myself if they were directed at me.
And I do not believe we should have a Royal Family so this is not colouring my views!
I can understand why, the speculation of what this little one would look like seemed to be inordinately important to some folks, who can blame H& M for putting of a public appearance for as long as poss.
It's very telling that Harry has gone from being the most popular royal to being one of the most hated. He must be doing something wrong all of a sudden and one can only conclude this has all happened since the arrival of MM in his life. She must be coaching him as to how to act the hard done by victim, but if he thinks that will gain him sympathy he really has lost any focus and understanding.
I don't hate either of them. I'm just exasperated.
Putting off a public appearance of the child , show just a foot ,
for what reason ? There are many royalists in this country who love to see a new Windsor baby, why on earth couldn’t they accept this ?
I think they were taunting the press with no thought to the many who support the monarchy and all that goes with it.
No it’s because he was attributed by others with traits that they assumed he had & that they approved of or liked.
Now they are seeing other/ different/ attributes that don’t fit with their previous views of the Harry that they believed him to be.
Like most of us he will be a mixture, with different traits coming to the fore depending on the differing circumstances presented.
I don't hate them. I can't be bothered with them and their self important nonsense.
Loislovesstewie very well said!
