we had Harry all over the "news" earlier now his wife has joined in with the whinging about how hard their life is!! Honestly ..they should have to live the lives of millions in this country and then they would know how HARD life can get .Why is it NEWS anyway? If its so hard they can always walk away .

I just think Harry and Megan are being badly advised and the problem is they just don’t see it.

There'll be fun and games when the Queen's no longer here.

Gonegirl Sat 19-Oct-19 18:20:04

Nobody can own their baby! Incredible to read that people think they have "rights" over him.

How do people actually get all this information about the royals? How can you be sure of accuracy? confused

1.Hit the Ground Running = Start something at a fast pace with great enthusiasm.
2. Paddyann has a dislike & distaste for them , but sees no hypocrisy in her self by selling the photos that she takes of them. Or is able to acknowledge that she has an income because of them.

Start something at a fast pace with great enthusiasm - or, make sure you listen to advisers and trust their judgement because otherwise you’re going to get things very wrong, wind people up who’ve been in this business a lot longer than you have, and alienate yourself.

So what if * paddyann* is making money from royal photos? She’s running a business, it’s not personal. That doesn’t mean she’s not allowed to have her own thoughts about her photographic subjects.

The fact that the British public who support the monarchy were not allowed to see a decent photo (nothing to do with ownership) smacks of petulance.

Given H&M had just moved into their lavishly renovated house it wasn't much to ask was it?

All the cloak and dagger stuff surrounding Archie's birth - the announcement of a non announcement for example was childish and done deliberately to cause speculation in the press.

Far from wanting to be out of the limelight, they are determined to stay in it.

Gonegirl Sat 19-Oct-19 18:35:22

They are entitled to be as petulant as they when it comes to their own child. As to the house, no one can buy rights to a baby.

Anniebach Sat 19-Oct-19 18:35:24

I thought paddyann had one commission not regular photo shoots.

Megan doesn’t need advisors , she needs to understand she is learning how to be a Windsor, she is a minor royal , one day she will be expected to curtsy to her brother in law and her nephew. It’s part of the job.

Bridgeit Sat 19-Oct-19 18:35:34

Hypocrisy is hypocrisy, we are all guilty of it at times.
But why keep slag off something that enables you to earn a living.
Also I believe she is someone who has permission to take photographs so she could be puts herself in a position to loose a source of income.

Anniebach Sat 19-Oct-19 18:37:58

I didn’t know it was an ongoing thing

Bridgeit Sat 19-Oct-19 18:39:13

One shoot or several makes no difference.

merlotgran Sat 19-Oct-19 18:39:42

I said it wasn't much to ask not much to expect.

I seem to remember you saying you love to see pictures of the little ones, Gonegirl grin

Bridgeit Sat 19-Oct-19 18:40:10

I presume Photos can be sold many times over.

Gonegirl Sat 19-Oct-19 18:42:13

I do love to see pictures of the little ones. I wanted very much to see a picture of Archie. I did actually love the photo showing his little feet.

Doesn't change anything I've said though.

paddyann Sat 19-Oct-19 18:43:18

Can I confirm I haven't sold ANY photographs or displayed them on my premises or website of any member of the RF.
tHE PHOTOGRAPHS WERE TAKEN AS A FAVOUR FOR AN OLD CLIENT .wE GAVE HIM THE ORIGINALS AND THE COPYRIGHT TO THEM .

Bridgeit Sat 19-Oct-19 18:45:35

That’s not what you said previously, but thank you for clarification ?

SirChenjin Sat 19-Oct-19 18:45:47

paddyann doesn’t make a living from selling one photo of the RF - her business does just fine. She’s also entitled to separate her business dealings with her personal views - most of us who work do.

Bridgeit Sat 19-Oct-19 18:47:18

If you slag off your boss on here, you run the risk of loosing your job, but that’s entirely up to the individual, but why shoot yourself in the foot ?

SirChenjin Sat 19-Oct-19 18:49:16

Who’s boss?

Bridgeit Sat 19-Oct-19 18:55:16

Another old saying: Don’t bite the hand that feeds you, (well not on social media )

paddyann Sat 19-Oct-19 18:55:47

Bridget ,we were asked by an old client whose business we still have to take the photographs ,we didn't sell any of them .We handed over the negatives and the copyright .
We did the same thing with the photographs we took for him of celebrities and politicians ...its called keeping your clients happy .We ALL do jobs we dont particulary want to when we work for ourselves .Now LET IT GO,

SirChenjin Sat 19-Oct-19 18:55:50

Yeah, still not making any sense there.

Anniebach Sat 19-Oct-19 18:55:55

That’s unfair Bridgeit

I have disagreed with paddyann over her taking a commission but she said it was a one off .

Don’t criticise Megan but criticise a fellow poster

SirChenjin Sat 19-Oct-19 18:56:23

That to Bridgeit
