I would just like one thread for brexiters only please.

I voted leave. I would vote leave again and again and again. There has been nothing to change my mind. I have been hardened by the views of remainers.

I would really like to talk to other brexit minded posters.
Thanks.

MaizieD It is not the electorate that are to blame for what Crystaltips calls "the whole shambles", but the H of Cs who have blocked "honouring" the referendum, David Cameron who said it would be a "once in a lifetime vote" and that the result would be honoured.

They should have had a plan A, B, C and D in hindsight they didn't even have a plan A. Saying that I would not change my vote as my opinion of the EU hierarchy has plummeted in equal measure to the "clowns on all sides" in both houses of Westminster.

But you don't give a toss about how crystal actually feels, do you, GG13 & maddyone?

Just do a little pearl clutching about how dreadfully she phrased it, that'll deflect having to think about what she said.

Pantglas2 Tue 29-Oct-19 09:39:59

It was a tad dramatic crystaltipps- I’ve never heard a brexiter use terms like that!

GrannyGravy13 Tue 29-Oct-19 09:37:41

crystaltips "We're are just dirt under your shoe"

What a very low opinion you have of fellow GN's because they had the temerity to vote in a different way to you!!!!! I would never describe another human being or animal as "dirt under my shoe".

maddyone Tue 29-Oct-19 09:37:02

That’s a very emotive post crystal, especially the last sentence, but thankfully it’s incorrect. You are a person who holds a view that I disagree with, but I certainly don’t think of you as dirt under my shoe, and I’d be surprised if anyone else does.

crystaltipps Tue 29-Oct-19 09:33:59

This idea that the “whole country” is euphoric about Brexit is just evidence of the sharp division in our broken society, with many people knowing no one who voted leave and vice versa. There are huge swathes of people who will lose jobs and livelihoods or relationships and have no reason to feel anything but depressed over the whole shambles, but they don’t count- as anyone who didn’t vote Brexit ( almost half the voters) are non people and don’t count for anything. We’re are just dirt under your shoe.

maddyone Tue 29-Oct-19 09:33:53

Ooh, Urmstongran, have a lovely time in Spain. Enjoy.

GrannyGravy13 Tue 29-Oct-19 09:31:54

Urmstongran please do not take their "bait", some live and breath animosity.

Enjoy your time in Malaga.

maddyone Tue 29-Oct-19 09:24:26

Where will you bite then Ug?

Needling leavers again!

maddyone Tue 29-Oct-19 09:23:19

And it’s nothing short of damn rude.

maddyone Tue 29-Oct-19 09:22:16

You’re not imagining it NanKate.

GracesGranMK3 Tue 29-Oct-19 08:23:48

Why would you crystaltipps? The whole point about the EU is that they are individual countries run by their own governments. They are never going to be "all" anything. Obviously, those who are brainwashed about the EU will still find this hard to accept.

MaizieD Tue 29-Oct-19 08:13:32

Where will you bite, then, Ug?

Urmstongran Tue 29-Oct-19 07:50:59

You do not imagine it NanKate! I like this thread because it’s more a gentle discussion of what we have read in the news (without the need for links or proof) or how we feel about Brexit in general.

When I’m having a chat in real life about Brexit (although it’s so divisive I’ve noticed that we all seem to swerve it!) if it does happen get mildly talked about, opinions and general chit chat. No-one demands validation!

NanKate Tue 29-Oct-19 07:37:46

Am I imagining it but do more Remainers ask us to justify ourselves, than Brexiteers ask Remainers their reasons ?

Urmstongran Mon 28-Oct-19 21:38:18

Nice try GGmk3 but definitely not biting on this thread!

crystaltipps Mon 28-Oct-19 21:12:05

Who claims all EU countries are perfect? I could say leavers believe all EU countries are on the brink of collapse.

GracesGranMK3 Mon 28-Oct-19 20:28:29

So how do you think leaving will help those in your position or worse UG?

Urmstongran Mon 28-Oct-19 20:17:50

leave campaigners only seem to want it to improve for the already very wealthy

I must be your exception to prove the rule GGmk3

If you saw my bank balance you would laugh - yet I voted Leave!

petra Mon 28-Oct-19 19:55:57

Grandad1943
I've just done a search which took less than a minute and stopped counting at 15 articles on bombings in Sweden 2019.

GracesGranMK3 Mon 28-Oct-19 19:55:39

Nothing in life is perfect. I would worry about anyone who though otherwise. Why should anyone expect government or any part of it to be. The difference is that remainders want it to make life better for as many as possible while leave campaigners only seem to want it to improve for the already very wealthy.

Admit that and I might believe leave voters know what they are talking about.

Urmstongran Mon 28-Oct-19 19:53:16

And if you want to score points over Remainers why put it on the Leavers' thread?

Surely on THIS thread (for Leavers) that’s half the fun?

And you all shouldn’t be peeping!

Dinahmo Mon 28-Oct-19 19:38:54

GG13 I don't think any Remainers ahve said that the other EU countries are perfect. We don't say that the EU is perfect. We do say that to be part of a large group, rather than standing on our own, is better for the UK.

MaizieD Mon 28-Oct-19 19:29:28

^ Just pointing out that the EU Countries are not all so perfect, as those who voted to remain make out.^

When has anyone said that, GG13? And if you want to score points over Remainers why put it on the Leavers' thread?

Mamie Mon 28-Oct-19 19:24:29

I am sure there is discontent from some groups in every country; it would be amazing if there wasn't. In France people tend to have a demonstration. In fact if a group of us are out gossiping in the street in our village, people will join us and say, "c'est une manif?" ?
