To the polls we go then...
It would be really interesting to know your most pressing issues when it comes to voting in December. What do you most want to see addressed in your party's manifesto?

Our NHS not being sold via the backdoor to Donald Trump.
More police
A living wage for everybody
No more need for food banks
I could go on and on.

Not selling off the NHS to American companies.

Remove the right to buy and build good quality council homes.
Remove the five week wait before paying universal credit.
Remove the cap on benefits for over two children
A green investment bank.
Nationalise the railways but also try and reduce the need for long commutes.

All that everyone else here has said.
But it is going to be all about Brexit, isn't it. That's what Johnson wants, along with a nice few years in no 10 angry

Whitewavemark2 Wed 30-Oct-19 11:19:53

He is trying to pit the voter against parliament.

It isn’t going to work, as his tactics are so transparent and his lies obvious.

LaraGransnet (GNHQ) Wed 30-Oct-19 11:29:03

Maybe if you could choose just three of the most important things to you?

Amagran Wed 30-Oct-19 11:37:39

Remain in the EU
Protect the NHS
Protect the most vulnerable in society

growstuff Wed 30-Oct-19 11:37:43

1 Stop privatisation of the NHS.
2 Build genuinely affordable housing (much of it social housing).
3 Measures to protect the environment.

And I'm going to cheat … Stop Brexit (but I don't think there's much chance of that).

mcem Wed 30-Oct-19 11:41:39

I agree with grany but living in Scotland, we can already tick some of those boxes.

UK-wide, L.P. is by far the better option but better with Kier Starmer as leader. Did I just imagine reports recently that Corbyn would not contest the next GE as leader?

I want a PM who can be trusted to keep his word otherwise we'll still be sceptical about nhs, austerity, education etc etc. (rules out BJ)
I want Trump and co to have no access at all to nhs.
I want to see the money grabbing billionaire Tory supporters curbed.

That's for UK but for Scotland I want the get out clause and independence!

I want no brexit for the sake of UK but with a Scottish indyref so that we can avoid further Tory destruction

Reform of care for the elderly. They have known since 1947 that there are a lot of us coming up! Proper pay for carers in care homes etc.
Better provision for mental health young and old.
Maintaining our defence forces and addressing cyber threats to infrastructures.

Firecracker123 Wed 30-Oct-19 12:46:33

Leave the EU.

Joelsnan Wed 30-Oct-19 12:51:29

Re nationalise utilities and transport
Return education to local authority control
Re balance north-south divide
Abolish PFIs

Yehbutnobut Wed 30-Oct-19 13:27:17

The NHS

I’m betting there’s not one person on this forum who has not had cause to be thankful for this. If not for yourself then for your family.

Diabetics are dying in the USA because of the cost of insulin. Priced out of the markets by drug companies and their fat cat shareholders. Just one example.

Pittcity Wed 30-Oct-19 13:34:24

I really couldn't pick just 3.
I would like voting to be compulsory and easy eg. Weekend elections, online votes.... This is so that Councils and Governments fairly represent the views of everybody.
We should be able to understand exactly what we are voting for.

cangran Wed 30-Oct-19 13:54:01

1. Put protecting the environment at the heart of ALL legislation (it's not a separate issue).
2. At least have a vote on whether to accept the current crap deal on offer or to remain in the EU (should have been done before a general election).
3. Tax companies and individuals that get out of paying their fair share so that services for the most vulnerable can be restored/improved. Oh and, stop selling off council homes!

LadyGracie Wed 30-Oct-19 14:38:39

Leave the EU.
Stop prioritising unfairly, ie housing.
Take care of the elderly.

humptydumpty Wed 30-Oct-19 15:39:37

Hold 2nd referendum
Implement Dilnot report
Change to PR voting

Oopsminty Wed 30-Oct-19 15:41:41

Trouble is, many items in manifestos never materialise once they're elected

Dinahmo Wed 30-Oct-19 16:34:19

All of the above.

Johnson is planning to reduce the rate of Corporation Tax to 18%.

Keir Starmer for Leader of the LP

Granniesunite Wed 30-Oct-19 16:35:10

Agree with mcem. It's time to get away from Westminster and all the shananigangs that go on in that place.. but for the rest of the folks who have to be governed by Westminster ...Ithink a hung parliament would sort it out. They'd have no choice but to work together.

growstuff Wed 30-Oct-19 16:39:41

LadyGracie One of my priorities would be housing, too, but I'm unsure what you mean by "Stop prioritising unfairly, ie housing" and I would be grateful if you could explain.

Boosgran Wed 30-Oct-19 16:48:34

Leave the EU
Protect NHS
Address homeless issues by providing affordable housing.

DoraMarr Wed 30-Oct-19 17:02:58

Housing
NHS
Education.
But as Cangran has said, environment has to be at the heart of all legislation, not just an add-on.
