General Election - what would decide the vote for you?

It would have been easy for all of us who want to Remain in the EU to give up hope, but we must remember that the overwhelming weight of polling evidence for over two years has shown that we are in the majority.

In this election we should all vote to stop brexit. That is more important than anything.

I feel that's it's taken a huge chunk out of my life, but I won't give up until people see the lies that Brexit was based on. I am hopeful that, the more the public see of Johnson as PM [I choke on that statement] the more they will realise that Brexit was his idea of a good career move, not something that was good for the country...

Our whole future and that of our children and grandchildren will be determined by whether our country Remains in the EU with all its advantages or allows bl**dy brexit to happen which will make us poorer and weaker.

Unfortunately we can't just forget brexit

Brexit will have very little effect on the serious issues effecting this country. The only thing Brexit has done is polarised us and stagnated any debate about deeper issues. I am sick of it, and to be quite honest feel it has been blown out of proportion. Have read all the Policies, looked at all the costings- where they are available, done my best to ignore disgraceful media articles and followed my heart to do what I think is right. Today I put my money where my mouth is and joined the Labour Party. By Safety net, I mean security to the old, sick and disabled. Accommodation and food if your world comes crashing down and you lose your home, job. Anyone who thinks these fhings are wronv should have a good hard look at themselves. Happy to ay more tax to help cover it.

If we don't stop brexit it will affect everything. We cannot afford this nonsense. It should be stopped. Let us Revoke Article 50 and start our recovery.

Every report I have read says we will be poorer if we leave the EU. Th only thing they don't agree on is how much and how long and none of them say we will not feel the effect of leaving.

If we are going to be poorer for five or ten years it will have certainly have an effect on the serious issues affecting our country.

If you think it is possible to defeat the brexitories in your constituency vote Liberal Democrat and Stop Brexit.

By issues I mean the NHS, Food banks, homelessness, rising crime, overcrowded and underfunded schools, lack of support for the elderly and the general poverty and misery which is spreading everywhere. This was happening regardless of Brexit and needs to be addressed.

Brexit will add to the woes and whilst I understand the frustration by people who say it's gone on too long and we 'should just leave' - I can't agree that is what is best for this country

Brexit and leaving the EU is a top issue to me. I see tonight that prity Patel has just said any citizens from outside of UK who want to live here must pay over £500 to use our NHS every year, to stop health tourism. When we go to other countries we buy health insurance so this is fair. That is a good policy and all money raised to go straight to NHS. Also immigrants will not be able to claim benefits for 5 years. That is good and fair and will mean U.K. is less of a pull factor to immigrants. Child benefit will no longer be allowed to be claimed for children not living in UK. This will mean more resources available to try to reduce child poverty in our country. I like Prity Patel and think she is so much more sensible than Diane Abbott who wants unlimited imigration. The points system, like Australia has sounds very good as we can allocate more points to people who have skills we need.

We must vote Liberal Democrtat to STOP BREXIT.

This brexit nonsense has gone on too long and it must not be allowed to blight the lives of our children and grandchildren.

If you are one of the 17 million people who were fooled into voting for this madness, just remember the 50 million who did not.

We deserve a better future as citizens of the UK within the European Union.

My main vote would go to the party that

Would abolish Working Family Tax credit, this keeps the living wage artificially low and allows companies such as Costa Coffee, Starbucks and all the other money grabbing non tax paying inc Amazon and the likes in business with the UK tax payer paying twice.

Pay students taking useful degrees for NHS and school teachers tuition fees as long as they signed contracts to stay with the NHS/local authority for 10 years after completing their degrees.

Make it more difficult to get to University and all the second rate Universities return to polytechnics and Higher Education colleges - pointless getting into debt to work in a call centre.

All people under the age of 30 should do compulsory volunteer work in children’s/elderly people’s homes/hospitals/police/homeless hostels etc.

This would bring the people together in my opinion not cancelling Brexit or having the best of three votes, we need to bring together the country not keep,tearing it apart with vote after vote in parliament and continual inter party fighting.

I work with people who are so poor that most of them sleep on benches, under hedges or in tents. I regularly liaise with the local food bank that is continually under pressure to feed more and more people. I am often in meetings with our local police officers and PCSOs and know that their numbers have been cut to the bone and then cut again, so that certain crimes are not even investigated in this area. My daughter-in-law is teaching in a school where resources are so sparse that my son has asked her to limit how much of her own money she spends on basics for her classroom.

Recently we assisted a nurse who was facing homelessness, because as the mother of a young child her pay wasn't sufficient to meet both her childcare costs and her rent. I sit on our local Patient Participation Group and worry about our GPs having breakdowns due to the unreasonable demands of their jobs.

All of the above has come about under a Conservative government. I see nothing at all that could persuade me to perpetuate this heartless regime and much to persuade me against it.
